I lay face down on my beach towel, soaking in the sun and listening to the crash of the waves. Ethan was laying next to me on his back but we were holding hands.
"Babe." He whispered nudging my arm. I simply grunted because I was half asleep. He shook my arm with both hands. "Babe look!" He said louder. I lifted my head and squinted at him.
"Let's bet on who it's gonna be." He said gesturing his head to a plane with the message, 'will you marry me?' on it.
I looked over to look for a possible couple on my side, finding a few contestants.
"I think I found the couple." I heard Ethan say with a laugh. I turned my head to him, finding him on one knee with a little black box containing a ring in his hand.
I covered my mouth and stood up taking one step back in shock.
"(Your full name), you are the most beautiful, kind, talented, caring, and smart woman I have had the honor of meeting. These past two years we spent together, have been the best times of my life. Exactly two years ago today, I saw you at that coffee shop alone and was in awe of your beauty. The little voice in me told me to go and talk to you, and boy was that voice making a good decision. From the second I met you, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you right beside me. There is never a dull day when I'm with you. Your vibrant smile lights up a room, and your cute laugh could stop the world. Would you give me the honor, of calling you my wife?" By now I was crying tears of pure happiness. Everyone was staring, but that didn't matter. I began to nod my head, and then the nodding got quicker.
"Yes, yes, yes!" I exclaimed. He got up and slid the ring on my finger. Everyone around us was clapping. He pulled me into a hug, holding me there. The people around us began to chant "kiss her, kiss her."
So I leaned back still holding him, shrugged, and went on my toes to kiss him. The crowd got even louder, and I felt pure bliss.
Pulling back, I stared at Ethan. I stared at my fiancé. The man of my dreams. When I saw him in that coffee shop, I thought the same thing. Love at first sight is real. And I found that out the second he sat across from me.
