When You Think About Him

You walk into your apartment. You see your father sipping on a beer and frown. Ever since he and your mother had separated he'd never been the same. The sadness turned him cruel and he'd take his anger out on you. He'd never physically hurt you but his words still hurt. You asked your mother you could live with her and her new husband, they were both very kind, but she'd said she wanted you to finish school in New York. Although you could still visit on holidays and sometimes weekends. "What are you doing home so late?!" Your father slurred. "It doesn't matter to you!" You yelled. "Eh get outta here you disappointment." He said turning away from you. You ran to your room and slammed the door. You took a deep breath to calm yourself then pulled out your yearbook. The masked boy had said that you two knew each other. So could he be someone from school? He looked your age so you figured that was the most logical answer. You flipped through the book already marking off boys. Some were to cowardly, some didn't have the right body type, and others just seemed like they couldn't be right. Finally your eyes landed on one particular boy, Casey Jones. Could it be? You'd known Casey since first grade. You two talked every once in a while but you wouldn't consider him a super close friend. He was always quite arrogant and brave. Plus he did have quite the love for hockey and the vigilante used hockey pucks and a stick. It seemed to be the right answer. Now replaying both their voices in your mind you could here the similarities in them. You flopped back on your bed. Of course Casey became a hero. He'd always talked about how tough and strong he was. It was kinda adorable. You covered your face with your pillow how could you have a crush on Casey Jones. Although now that you thought about it when ever you saw him you did feel a little strange. You sighed as you thought about him. You could feel the blush on your cheeks get even stronger. You had to talk to him as soon as you could.
