I'm back!! I'm so sorry I haven't updated recently. Two of my family members ended up in the hospital over the break. They were for different reasons, but it was still stressful. So I'm sorry if this chapter sucks!
Chapter Eleven
•Brielle•
"I can't believe you watch this!" Justin exclaimed, confusion etched across his face. "This is for kids!"
"What's so wrong with Disney movies?" I asked, laughing a bit. "Everyone loves a good Disney movie. Plus, you don't have to watch. I didn't even invite you over."
"Touché," he smiled.
Justin had walked in the door about ten minutes ago. I had no idea he was coming over, so I was currently in a tank top and sweatpants. My hair was in a messy bun on the top of my head, and I'm sure it looked like I was hit by lightning.
"Why are you here?" I asked, pausing my movie.
"I was bored, so I wanted to see what you were up to."
"And you couldn't have called?"
"You don't answer my calls," he pointed out. "You only answer texts. And while we're on the subject, why is that?"
I shrugged. "I don't usually answer calls because I never get them. I guess I'm just not used to it."
Justin considered that, but didn't say anything, so I resumed my movie.
An hour later, the movie ended, and I was happy. I loved Disney movies! They always put me in a good mood.
"What do you want to do now?" Justin asked, standing up from the couch. He seemed more than happy the movie was over.
"I don't know," I said. "I mean, there's not really anything to do here."
He hesitated, as if debating whether or not on asking something. Apparently he went with asking. "Do you want to go somewhere?"
The smile slowly faded off my face. "I-I, um . . . I don't kn-"
"Hello gorgeous sister of mine!" Aidy sang as she walked in the room. She and Noah were out somewhere, and they had just got back. "Oh, hello Justin. How are you?"
"I'm pretty good. How about yourself?"
"Wonderful!" she exclaimed. However, her happiness faded quickly after. "Um, Brielle, can I talk to you for a minute? I'll let Noah talk to Justin."
I frowned. What was up with her?
Standing up, I glanced at Justin. He looked just as confused as I felt. Walking quickly, I followed Aidy into the kitchen.
"Is everything okay?" I asked, concern and nervousness bubbling in my stomach.
"Yes, but no at the same time," she said, only confusing me more.
"What? Aidy, what are you talking about?"
She took a deep breath, and suddenly I realized that everything was okay. It was whatever she had to tell me that wasn't. I knew right away that it was because she was scared of my reaction.
"Aidy, you aren't that hard to figure out. What do you need to tell me?" I demanded for the first time in my life, shocking myself and also my sister.
She blew out the breath she was holding and closed her eyes.
"Brielle, Noah and I are going on a . . . small vacation. Well, as much as I want to call it small, it isn't really."
"What do you mean?"
