Chapter Four

•Brielle•

{My dream started where the last one ended.

"P-please!" I cried out as he continued to pleasure only himself using me. The pain that I was in was too much for my seven year old body to bear. It felt as if I was being ripped open from the inside.

He didn't say anything. All that came from his mouth was a couple of moans that had me wanting to throw my dinner back up.

After what felt like hours, but in reality was only a few minutes, he finished and stood himself up.

"Little bitch. Next time, you'll learn to cooperate."

With that being said, he gave one last punch downwards into my already sore and hurting stomach.}

I gasped and sat straight up in my bed. The pain I remember being in had my stomach hurting like it all just happened. Wrapping my arms around myself, I tried to calm my once again rapid breathing.

Grabbing my phone to check the time, I realized that I had a text from an unknown number.

Unknown: hey Brielle, it's Justin

An involuntary smile came to my face. Last night, he had reminded me of the good times I had when I was a kid. I always looked at only the bad side of things, and for the first time in my life, I remembered the good times.

I had been afraid of Justin at first last night. When he came into my room, it really freaked me out because I thought he was going to hurt me in some way. I was really distant at first, but without knowing it, I had opened up a little and found that I was comfortable with him.

Deciding to reply to his text with a simple 'hey,' I quickly typed it in and locked my phone again.

Checking the time again, I noticed that it was barely two in the morning.

Letting out an aggravated sigh, I threw my covers back and made my way to the restroom. After taking a relatively quick shower, I walked over to my desk. Plopping down in the chair, I grabbed my sketchbook and a pencil and began doing my thing. The lines, shapes, and curves didn't come together until around nine that morning.

I stared down at my picture. It was a drawing of an actual photograph that was taken from when Justin and I were little. I was four and he was five. I don't know how I remembered that picture, but apparently my brain decided that it was going to copy an actual picture for once.

Closing my sketchbook, I took a shaky breath. A soft knock my bedroom door brought me back to reality.

"Come on in," I called, expecting it to be Aidy. She always comes up around this time, knowing that I'm awake.

But instead, I got a huge surprise when the door opened and Justin walked in.

"W-what are you doing here?" I stuttered. I suddenly became very conscious of the fact that I was wearing short, spandex-like shorts and a tank top. My hair was in a messy ponytail, and I had no makeup on.

"I came because you didn't answer my texts," he said, letting himself in completely and walking over to the ledge we were sitting on last night. "I wanted to make sure you were okay."

"Oh," I said quietly. Finding the ground very interesting, I focused on my feet to avoid eye contact.

"Hey, don't close me out again," Justin said, standing right back up and walking towards me. When he got less than a foot away, I involuntarily stepped back, bumping into my desk.

"Sorry," he said, backing away a little bit. "But come on, I had such a great time last night just talking to you! Do I really have to start all over?"

I bit my lip. No matter how comfortable I became last night, right now was a different story. I can't help it, but whenever people that I'm not that familiar with approach me, I have the tendency to flinch or hide away.

"I'm sorry," I whispered. "I can't control it."

I heard him sigh. "That's okay. But like it or not, we're hanging out today. We don't have to leave your house if you don't want to, but we're hanging out."

I didn't reply. Instead, I grabbed my phone to find that I had seven new messages from Justin.

2:32am

J: why are you awake so early?

2:40am

J: Brielle?

3:01am

J: ok im assuming you went back to sleep so ignore me! Lol

8:04am

J: hey, is everything ok?

8:12am

J: you're worrying me, answer me

8:15:am

J: Answer me or I'm coming over

8:29am

J: that's it, I'm worried. I'm coming over

"You could say I was a bit worried because you never answered me," Justin said, making my head snap up.

"A bit," I agreed quietly.

"Sorry," he mumbled.

I shrugged in a way to say that it was okay.

"So what do you want to do today?" he asked. "We could go to the mall because I know girls love shopping. We could go see a movie. We could go to a park. You pick."

I looked up at him. "Can't we stay here?" I asked.

"So you do want to do something with me," Justin teased.

Looking down at the ground, I sighed. "Let me change."
