After I had changed into a new set of clothing I was on my way to the school. But as I neared I saw the school’s walls towering above me and I nearly took and U-turn. However, I slapped myself and continued walking. It didn’t help that all over the walls there were posters screaming ‘’WARNING’’ and underneath that was a description of me.

Darkness fell around Grand Haven high school. It was midnight; some would call it the witching hour since the magic was at its strongest then. My magic wasn’t based on the time of the day; my power was something unpredictable and growing steadily. Unfortunately for me, now looked like the time my powers wanted to go crazy. Sometimes it answered to my call for help without any trouble, however now was that not the case.

In the night it was hard to spot me. I had put on some thin black suit almost like the cat woman suit except the cat ears. The highlights in my hair were braided so it went camouflaged by the black in it. As I stared up at the wall protecting the school, I sighed. I guess I had to do this the old way, by climbing with my hands and feet. I set to it and started climbing straight up, I had only managed a whisper of wind to help me.

As I reached the top which was covered with barbed wires, I sighed. Of course, it couldn’t be as simple as a slippery wall. Luckily I had brought clippers with me. I started cutting up the wires feeling like a pro whilst doing it. I should really look into the spying profession. My thoughts cut off as an alarm started wailing, my smile dropped. By all things holy, why would they have an alarm? It was a freaking school for the supernatural. I dropped my clippers and looked down. It was a pretty high jump to make, from some of the dorms people poured out, some carrying weapons and some carrying belongings. Oh man, this could not be happening right now.

Stupid girl. Of course they have secured the schools after your last visit to one. Lucavarious yelled in my head.

Shut up, I’m trying to think. I screamed back mentally.

Well you better think fast because the guards are gaining ground. Just remember that I won’t be able to reach you or communicate with you. Lucavarious said.

I swallowed the urge to scream and jumped down from the wall. I called forth the wind and it, luckily, answered me. While I would like to say that I landed gracefully and rolling when I hit the ground, I would be lying. I fell and twisted my ankle and faceplanted the grass. The sound of running footsteps hitting the ground made me find the will to pull myself up.

Crap, I think my ankle sprained. I limped away as fast as my ankle allowed me. In the corner of my eye I saw movement, but before I could turn around and defend myself, a huge panther slammed into me. Lying flat down on the ground again this night didn’t improve my mood; it didn’t improve my aching ankle either. The panther paced around me in circles, any movement to get up made it sneer and growl at me.

‘’ oh this is just fucking great!’’ I whispered furiously into the ground.

The footsteps were eating up the distance between us. I knew I would be caught soon and when I got caught I would be in a world of pain. I retorted to my powers as a last resort. The win picked up and building up to a storm. The panther growled and I shifted around so I lay on my back instead of my tummy.
