How did I end up in this mess? All it was, was just a little teasing with Cap..I didn't mean for it to get out of hand and into an argument..I was trying to be funny and get some friends... Melody thought to herself. She knelt in the middle of her now destroyed and dark room. After a sharp comment said to Steve ending the argument, and she knew everyone in the tower heard, she had stormed away into her bedroom and screamed into her pillow and dark magic flew off her body and destroyed her room into this mess. Mel looked around hugging herself. She couldn't help this, this thing, this curse. She can't control the dark powers that poisoned her body when she was a little girl. She cried and cried, nails digging into her her flesh but she didn't care.
Her adopted brother, Anthony Stark stood outside her door, It looked burnt slightly and he was hesitantly calling for Melody, "Please, please just come out and cool down for a bit Mellie.." He said, sighing. He looked at the door pleadingly as if it would help.
"LEAVE ME!" she screamed through the door, making Tony jump back in surprise. He sighed and thought it best to just leave her as she is for now. He, himself, needed to cool down after pleading with her for half and hour and telling Steve off about how his sister was only joking, half an hour before hand. He walked off to his lab.
~A few hours later~
It was late at night and Melody had finally calmed down and repaired her room. Wasn't that hard to repair it mostly, just a wave of her hand right? Mel sighed as she got up and went hunting for food in the kitchen. None of the avengers were around as she could tell. She opened the fridge and saw Pietro Maximoff had once again drank all of her Monsters. Mel grabbed herself a piece of cheesecake and a can of coke before shutting the fridge with her foot. She sat down at the breakfast bar and started eating, pulling up YouTube on her phone praying to the Gods of Norse Mythology that Dan Howell's videos would cheer her up a bit, and to her delight, he did.
After watching him rant about how he is not posh but articulate and how it was all influenced by winnie the pooh, Mel had enough Youtube for now and cleaned up her mess as Natasha walked in. Nat gave Mel a stern look, or so Mel thought she saw. From the corner of her eye she saw the redhead girl glare at her. Mel yelped slightly in surprise and ran off to her bedroom once more that night.
Loki whom had been sitting in the living room not to far from the breakfast bar, looked up at Nat, "what did you do to the mortal, Widow?" he asked softly.
"I did nothing. The girl's strange and kind of scary with her demonic like voodoo." Nat said grabbing a coke.
Loki raised and eyebrow and smirked, "The widow finally found something to be scared of?" he teased.
Natasha just rolled her eyes and walked away. Loki thought for a moment. He had smiled when he heard Melody laugh at her favorite YouTuber but why did he? Was it because it was the first time he heard her laugh? Was he fancied over a mortal and her problems? No, he was the god of mischief and lies. He couldn't be falling for Anthony's younger sister. The two never spoke.
Still, most of the Avengers treated them both like monsters. Both rather alone and only their brothers too care about them ,even though Loki rather watch that annoying sponge and his pink friend then having Thor squeeze him to death in a hug. The both had talents with magic and were ridiculed because of it. Loki supposed that's the reason she distant herself with the others. It's not like the others had tried to reach out to her or even speak with her without a tone of disgust, even from Steven Rodgers. He sighed. Can't be wasting time over this mortal. I'm going to just serve my sentence and go. Never speaking to these people again.
