Chapter 9

Mel sighed and curled up closer to Loki. She wasn't able to get much sleep from nightmares. However, she didn't want to disturb her boyfriend? Is that what they are now? Do Asgardians even know what a boyfriend is? She rubbed her face against him. He smells so good. She smiled softly.

Loki smirked. He had been up early considering the fact that Asgradians tend to be up at the crack of dawn. There is not time to waste! They would say. Loki tried to think of the Midgard saying about the worms in the morning but he couldn't remember. He wrapped his arms around Melody. He knew she didn't sleep well but didn't want to force her to tell him.

Instead, he held her close and tried to let her sleep in more. It was only 8 in the morning. He doubt that the others would be up by now any ways, including Thor. He played with her hair and felt her relax. She's like a little kitten. He chuckled to himself.

Melody sighed softly, content. She closed her eyes feeling more tired now. She yawned and looked up at Loki. He smiled down at her and kissed her head, "Sleep, princess."

"I'm not a fucking princess." She said tiredly, but still annoyed.

Loki chuckled, "No, of course not. You're a queen."

"You're my king." She said closing her eyes and nuzzling her face into the crook of his neck.

Loki felt his heart skip a beat. He was falling faster and faster, more and more  each moment and day. He smiled and continued to run his fingers through her hair. He sighed and used what little magic he had and used it to help her sleep. He himself fell back asleep not minutes later.

Around one, Thor decided he'd speak with Tony. He had trouble finding him but eventually did in the lab. "Man of iron?" He bellowed.

"Hey Meat Swing, can you pass me that hammer." Tony said distracted by his suit.

Thor chuckled and passed him Moljnir. Tony didn't even notice and yelped when the hammer hit the floor and became extremely heavy. "The hammer on the table!"

Thor chuckled, "But Stark, there is no hammer on the table."

Tony stood up and picked up a hammer. "See hammer."

Thor took it from him, "This tiny thing!"

"Yes Thor." Tony took it back and used the other end of it to rip of an old piece of metal. "Any reason why you are in my lab?"

"Actually, Yes, there is:" Thor picked up  his hammer. "Have you've notice how close our siblings are becoming? Romance wise?"

"Yeah. It concerns me. Your brother tried to take over Midgard." Tony glared at him.

"Your sister has nearly killed a small town from and outburst." Thor reminded him.

"How do you know that?" Tony stood up and walked around his work bench.

"I read the files." Thor stated.

"Good god, you can actually read?" Tony joked.

"Of course I can read. Who do you take me for?" Thor shook his head. "Anyways, Stark, Loki has to go back to Asgard soon and receive his punishment there."

"Good. Didn't want him in my tower in the first place," Tony smiled.

"Man of iron, if your sister falls for my brother, she will be heartbroken when he leaves as it is unlikely they'll be able to see each other again."

Tony thought about this for a moment, "There's nothing we can do about it though, Thor. We can't forcing them to stop having feelings for one another and we can't ban them. They are adults."

Thor leaned against a bench and picked up a screwdriver. "We can come up with something. I rather not see my brother finally find a person he enjoys the company of only to have it ripped away from him."

Tony sighed, "He has done a lot for Mellie. Does Loki even know he's returning to Asgard?" Thor's eyes widen and he stays silent. "I'll take that as a no. You idiot. There's your first mistake."

"I shall tell him. I will. I just don't want to see them hurt." Thor sighed.

"Yeah, me neither." The boys sigh softly.
