Markiplier x Blind Reader
I was walking down the street with my sight dog, Summer. I stood at the crosswalk waiting for Summer to give me the all clear.
She barked once to tell me that it's safe to walk. I walked across the road quickly and turned right.
I let Summer leed me through the people on the sidewalk. After about a quarter of a mile, I took out the keys to my house.
I opened the door and walked in.
"Hello y/n," my mom called.
"Hey mom," I put down my purse on the table.
"Um. Y/n you know that I only do things for your own good, right?"
Oh no she's nervous about something. "Yea," I spoke carefully, now worried about what she was going to say.
"Well I was thinking that youshouldstartdatingagain," she said quickly.
"Mom I...," she interrupted me.
"Don't you mom me. You've been moping around ever since the accident. It's time you finally got back out there again.
"Besides it's not like it's someone you don't know. Remember that kid you used to play with in 6th grade, Mark." I nodded. "Well his family has moved back to the area and his mom and I have arranged a date for you two tonight."
I groaned. My mind had a picture of the dark haired boy. To tell you the truth I had a small crush on the boy. But then he broke my heart when he moved away without telling me.
He wouldn't even text me back or call me. "Does he even know that I'm blind." I said irritated.
"I'm sure his mom told him. Stop worrying," she told me.
"Ok fine, when is it?"
"Tonight at eight. I'll drop you off at the restaurant."
"Ok. Ugh I'm twenty five and my mom is still picking out my dates." She laughed.
"Go get ready," she told me. I grumbled under my breath but walked upstairs.
I opened up my closet door and felt around for my sapphire dress. I quickly put it on and felt on my watch. It was seven.
I had about thirty minutes left to get ready since it takes thirty minutes to get there. I walk into the bathroom and get out my makeup bag.
While you might except the opposite, I'm actually the best at putting makeup on. I quickly put on mascara, eyeliner, and some light eyeshadow.
I walked downstairs and waited for my mom to grab her keys. She quickly pulled out her keys and drove me to the restaurant. It was one of those fancy restaurants on the east side of L.A.
I quickly walked in and got our table. I fiddled with my thumbs to pass time. I heard a scuffle to my left.
"Y/n," I heard a familiar voice.
Mark's POV
(Earlier that day)I got out of my car and got the groceries out of my backseat. I walked into my house and put them away.
Chica ran up to me and started giving me kisses.
"Hi Chica-pika. Did you miss me? Yea did you miss daddy?" I asked her. My phone made a ringing noise. I picked it up and noticed a text from my mom.
(His mom in bold)
(Mark in italics)Do you remember y/n from middle school?
Yea. Why?
Oh nothing. Just that you're going on a date with her tonight.
WHAT!
Calm down. Her mom and I were talking and she was talking about how y/n barely goes out anymore so I suggested that you and her could go out.
But I don't even know her.
You guys used to be best friends, what's the problem?
I didn't tell her that we moved, and then when my phone broke, I lost her number. She probably thinks I'm just a jerk that ignored her calls and texts.
Then explain it to her. Plus it's too late to cancel, you're meeting her at f/r(favorite restaurant) at 8.
Fine. Okay, bye mom.
Bye. Oh I forgot to mention that after an accident in high school, she's blind.
That would have been nice to know before now. Well bye.
Bye
I quickly changed into a tuxedo with a red tie and looked at the time. It was thirty minutes to 8. I grabbed my car keys and walked out the door. I arrived at the restaurant right at 8:00 pm.
I walked in and found y/n sitting at a table in the corner. She looked beautiful, she was wearing a sapphire dress. She was looking at her hands, or at least that's what it looked like she was doing.
I wonder what happened that made her go blind? I wasn't feeling nervous at all when I was getting ready, but now that I see her, it feels like there's a whole zoo in my stomach.
I quietly walk across the restaurant. When I get there she continues watching her hands.
"Y/n," I say. She moves had toward my voice and smiles.
"Mark?" She questions.
"Hi it's nice to see you again."
"You to."
The night continues on like this with easy banter and memories of the past. She was actually surprisingly willing to talk about the accident.
It turns out that one time when she was walking home from school when a drunk driver hit her, causing severe head trauma. It had been three years and she hadn't seen since.
She acted so totally cool and nice, it reminds me of back in middle school when we were best friends. I never actually told her but, I had a small crush on her back then. I had so much fun and I'm hoping for a second date.
Y/n pop
(After the date)He was so sweet. He always listened to what I said and he acted as if he truly cared. He reminded me of the boy that I had a crush on. Right now he was driving me home. He had on this station that I loved and we sang to all of the songs until I got home. We walked to the door and I got out my key.
"I really enjoyed tonight," I said smiling.
"So did I. I hope there will be a second date in our future."
"Yea I hope that too," I actually really did. Most if my dates I hated. And even if I did like one, most wouldn't text are call me back after finding out that I'm blind.
I felt him lean down and kiss my cheek. My cheeks got hot and I had no doubt that I was as red as a tomato.
"Bye," he told me.
"Bye," I said and opened my door. He got in his car and drove off. I walked into my house and changed into pajamas.
The last thought on my mind before I fell asleep was of Mark.
