Au where you see every color but the color of your soulmate's eyes. Sorry I don't know how to explain it.

Y/n pov

I looked around. People always said I was lucky. I saw all the colors they thought were pretty. The only color I missed out on was brown.

A color they thought of as bleak and boring, yet, it's the only color I yearn for. The bark on the trees is a gray dull color. They would stay that way until I looked into the eyes of my soulmate.

When I was a kid they would question me to see which color I couldn't see. Asking me about the grass, the sky, and the mix of colors called hazel. But I could see all those. What I missed out on was the chocolaty color brown.

Common brown things were gray and colorless. Bark an trees, some animals, and even chocolate.

I walked outside of my house and locked up. I started walking towards the subway while I stuffed my keys into my purse, where I kept a chocolate bar hidden.

*Timeskip to later that evening*

I just finished working at *job* and was on my way home. I was just about to get on the subway when someone grabbed my purse.

I would've let it happen but I had my only pair of keys to my apartment in there.

"Hey my purse," I screeched. The people on the subway just glared at me. I ran after the guy who had my purse. He had a huge lead to me but I kept running. All of a sudden someone barreled into the theif.

A guy with black hair stood up and brushed himself off. He looked towards me and I suddenly felt warm.

"Here you go," he said in his warm, husky voice as he handed me back my purse.

"Thank you, I don't know what I would do without my keys." He gave me a smile and walked away as a police man took the theif away in handcuffs. I walked onto the subway and waited for my stop.

In the middle of the ride, I got suprisingly hungry. I remembered that I had the dull grey chocolate bar in my purse. I opened and was stunned speechless.

The chocolate was this warm, rosy color that I had never seen before. So this was brown.

The color brought up a small memory of the guy who stopped the theif. I remember looking into his eyes and seeing this color. I had found my soulmate and had lost him.

My heart sank low in my chest. I had looked everywhere for him, just to walk away from him forever. I nearly missed my stop, but I jumped up and got off at the last moment.

I walked to my apartment where my mom was waiting for me.

"Hello darling, how was your day." She exclaimed as I walked in. I just groaned and sat down in my chair. I looked around the room. The once grey-looking couch was now a dead tree bark brown.

"You were right about the couch. It clashes terribly with the wallpaper," I told her. She gasped.

"You found your soulmate! Who is he? Was he handsome? Do I know his parents? Describe the moment."

I quietly told her the disappointing tale of how I had lost my soulmate.

"Oh honey, I know you'll find him again one day. I just know it."

(1 week time skip)

I walked through the subway station as I was scrolling through my phone. As soon as I had realized that I could see the color brown I changed my lock screen. It was now a pair of beautiful brown eyes that reminded me of that mysterious man that I had met a week before.

"Hey, wait! Please wait," a familiar deep voice shouted near me. I turned around to see the guy from before trying to maneuver between the crowd.

"You," I said as soon as he caught up with me.

"Yes me," he responded back. "My name's Mark by the way."

"My name's Y/n."

"I must say Y/n, your eyes are the most wonderful color."

"I can say the same for you, Mark." He gave a swift smile and leaned closer to me.

"I've been wondering who's eyes would unlock the color e/c (eye color). To tell the truth, it feels like I've been waiting forever." He leaned in the last few inches to gently kiss my lips.

I locked eyes with him and we shared the same thought, that we both had a new favorite color.

I'M FINALLY UPDATING AGAIN. I'm sorry it took so long but I just started my freshmen year of highschool. Also I haven't been watching Mark as much but I would never just abandon this book. Also as I said in the last chapter I'm making an anime preference book. Go check out the last chapter to find out more details on that.
