Charles and Arielle were participating in the National Story Challenge and are in the individual category. During the breifing, they were separated from those in the team category, and Arielle started to talk to Charles about some guy from her company who said that he likes it when she is desperate. Charles then replied that he was flirting with her.
This was then misunderstood as Arielle and Charles flirting with each other during the briefing. The distance between Joanna and Charles grew apart once again, with their relationship on the rocks.
