Sakari's POV

"I want you to kill him"

My mum always told me that eavesdropping is rude but right now I can't help myself. I'm listening in to Darius' conversation seeing as he still thinks I'm sleeping,

"I don't care how you find him, just find him"... "Imagine what he would've done if I didn't come when I did" ... "Exactly, don't question what I'm asking"... "Find him, bring him to me and I'll kill him myself"

My heart started racing at the fact that Darius is so set on killing someone, he knows how much I hate murderers,

"I know you're awake Sakari, I can sense it"

I cursed under my breath and turned around to face Darius who was now staring at me intensely,

"How much did you hear?"

"Enough to know that you're going to kill someone"

He sighed, "I don't kill the innocent, I kill people that deserve it"

"Wait, does that mean you've killed someone in the past?"

He nodded, "It had to be done"

I felt bile rise up in my throat at the thought of Darius being a murderer and I jumped up from the bed and ran into the bathroom to be sick in the toilet.

I felt Darius move my hair back but I just pushed him away from me,

"Don't touch me"

I took a few deep breaths and looked up at him to see hurt plastered all over his face,

"Sakari, you have to understand"

"Understand what? That your a murderer?"

"I killed them because I had to"

"You didn't have to! It could've been prevented!"

"If I didn't kill them first, they would have killed my sister!"

I looked at him in shock, I had no idea that he had a sister,

"You have a sister?"

He nodded, "Yes I do but it doesn't matter because she's not here"

He walked back into the bedroom and I stood up shakily and followed him. Darius' words from earlier in the week rang in my head,

'I can't let another person I love leave me'

"It was your sister wasn't it?"

He ran his hands over his face, "I loved her, she was 22 years old and I was 17 at the time, I looked up to her, she was perfect in every way, the pack adored her but then she got a boyfriend, no he wasn't her mate but he was from a different pack, the Red Forest pack"

I gasped, "The most powerful pack in the east?"

"Exactly, the enemy pack if you wanna say. But anyway at the time we were in war with them, I wasn't alpha at the time, my dad was but he gave me an order and I had to follow. We had it all planned out until one night we got a message, they had my sister and they wanted my dad to give up the pack or they would kill her

"Any normal person would give up the pack but not my dad, he ordered everyone to kill them all, no matter who they were and who was I to say no? He was the alpha. I followed his order and killed a lot of people that night including Adele's boyfriend"

I looked at him confused, "But if you saved her, why did she leave?"

"Even though he kidnapped her, she still loved him and she blamed me for his death, she said that she couldn't be around the person that killed her lover so she left and I haven't seen her since"

I could feel the hot tears running down my cheeks but I made no attempt to remove them. I walked over to Darius to see that he was now shaking but not in anger and not in fear, he was crying.

I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around him and he just cried for everything,

"I never knew you went through so much"

"I did and now I'm scared that your going to leave me too"

I leant back and looked at him shocked,

"Why would I leave you?"

He ducked his head, "I'm a murderer, a monster"

I tilted his head up to face me, "You were following an order"

"An order I shouldn't have followed"

I sighed, "He was alpha, you couldn't do anything"

"Face it Sakari, you're looking into the eyes of a murderer"

I couldn't take his talk anymore so I shut him up by slapping him upside the head,

"What was that for?"

"To slap some sense into you! You saved your sisters life that day and by the sound of things she didn't appreciate it, she was blinded by love but that does not make you a murderer! You didn't personally go after him, you were following an order!"

"And I lost my sister because of it!"

"Darius look at me"

He kept his head down so I grabbed his face and made him look at me,

"Do you honestly believe that I'll leave you? And I want the truth"

He nodded, "I do, you said you despise murderers"

He obviously wasn't going to believe what i say so I did the next best thing. I leaned forward and pressed my lips against his and it took him a while to respond but he did eventually. He bit my bottom lip and of course, I let him in. I gently pushed him back on the bed and he grabbed my waist before pulling away from me,

"I guess that means you're staying"

I smiled, "Love conquers all"

He smiled and gave me a peck on the lips,

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner"

"Its fine Darius, I know now and that's all that matters"

I moved off of him and took his hand,

"We should probably go and see my parents, they're probably freaking out right now"

He nodded and we walked out of his room to go downstairs to find my mum and dad and luckily it wasn't hard to find them, they were sitting in the lounge,

"Hi mum, hi dad"

They abruptly turned their heads towards me and my mum was the first one to jump up and hug me,

"My baby!"

She placed kisses all over my face and I backed up a little bit,

"I'm fine mum honestly"

"We were just so worried sweetheart"

Well, that word triggered off all my emotions. The breath got caught in my throat and my eyes started to fill up with tears,

"Sakari, what's wrong?"

The mans face popped up in my head, 

'Do you fear me?'

I started shaking, "Sakari"

'This is only the beginning sweetheart'

"No, please don't!"

I started backing up with tears running down my face,

"Sakari, calm down, what's wrong?"
