Darius' POV

I watched quietly as Sakari paced up and down the room angrily and everyone just waited patiently for her to say something. After a few more minutes, she stopped pacing and turned to face us and I flinched slightly at how intense her stare was, I've never seen her this angry before,

"If anyone in this room doesn't want to be involved in this war, I suggest you leave now"

I looked around the room waiting to see if anyone was coward enough to leave but when no one got up, I felt quite proud because it meant that they are loyal enough to stay and fight,

"Okay good, as you can tell, I'm angry, actually no that isn't even the right word to use, I am fuming, I am beyond pissed right now and I do not want anyone in this room to piss me off anymore, I want to get that clear now, understand?"

Everyone nodded so she continued, "As you know, Lukas has taken Sharise, which is what sparked this war in the first place and believe me, I didn't want to start a war but he has given me no choice"

"Everyone has a choice Sakari"

I closed my eyes and shook my head slightly at the idiot that spoke out,

"I don't even know who said that but whoever did, stand up!"

I opened my eyes and decided to stand up and walk over to her because I knew this is where I was needed to calm her down. I wrapped my arm around her waist and looked towards everyone,

"I said stand up! If you're brave enough to say it behind a crowd, say it to my face!!"

I knew they wouldn't be able to fight off her command for too long, it's an alpha command, you can't refuse it. A few seconds passed and Danny stood up... No surprise there.

The thing that did surprise me though, is that Sakari ran out of my arms and pinned Danny against the wall by his neck and I was just about to run over and stop her when she turned to face me,

"Stay where you are"

I stopped in my tracks and she turned back to face Danny who was struggling to breathe,

"You need to learn to never speak out of turn, I thought I told you not to piss me off even more, did you not hear that part?"

He managed a slight nod, "Then why would you bother speaking? Don't even answer that question"

She let go of him and he started rubbing his neck,

"I'm sorry"

"I don't care, leave"

He looked at her shocked and was about to protest when I spoke up,

"Don't question what she said Danny; we will talk more about this later"

I nodded towards the door and he sighed and inputted the code and walked out and the shelves closed behind him,

"Anyone else want to voice their opinions?!"

Everyone shook their heads, "Good, you know what? Come back in 2 hours because right now I can't handle this"

She inputted the code again and walked out and I sighed and turned to face everyone,

"When we all come back, I expect everyone to have thought of a plan, a solid proof plan, if there isn't at least one plan by the time I get back, someone will be held responsible, understand me?"

They nodded, "Dismissed"

I walked out first and walked upstairs towards mine and Sakari's bedroom, hoping that's where she was. I walked into the room and found her sitting on the end of the bed, looking down to the floor,

"Kari?"

She slowly looked up at me and I could properly see that she was crying so I walked up to her and wrapped my arms around her and she cried into my shirt,

"Baby, what's wrong?"

"I can't handle this anymore, I can't handle this responsibility"

I painfully spoke the next words, "So you want to leave?"

She leant back and shook her head, "I never said that"

"It was kind of implied"

"I wasn't implying that, I was just saying how being alpha female is a tough job, I didn't say anything about leaving, you know that I would never do that to you baby, I love you"

"I love you too"

She stood up and gently pushed me down on the bed and climbed on top of me,

"No, I really love you"

"I really love you too"

She leant down so that I could feel her lips brush against mine,

"You owe me"

I raised an eyebrow at her, "Oh really? For what?"

She gave me a peck on the lips, "For teasing me"

I smirked, "You enjoyed it though"

"I never said I didn't but now it's my turn to tease you"

She ran a hand down my chest until she got to my belt,

"I don't like to be teased Darius"

She slowly lifted up my shirt and started placing kisses over my chest and abs while at the same time, undoing my belt and I could feel my eyes getting darker and darker every second,

"I'm a straight to the point kind of girl"

She kissed up my body until she got to the corner of my mouth which is when she pulled away and looked into my eyes,

"So I'll get straight to the point"

She closed the gap and pressed her lips against mine and she swiftly took off my belt and threw it on the floor. She lifted my shirt over my head and I'm all about fair play so I took off Sakari's shirt as well and quickly resumed in kissing her again. She was just about to move back down to my jeans when the door burst open,

"Darius stop making out with your girlfriend and get downstairs"

Sakari pulled away and blushed and moved off of me to get her shirt and I stood up and glared at Adele,

"Adele, for fuck sake!"

"Language Darius"

That was the last straw. I shifted and lunged for her, pinning her to the ground with my paw over her neck, guaranteeing that she wouldn't be able to move. I snarled at her as she breathed in gasps of air,

"Darius! Let her go!"

I shook my head and stayed where I was, that was until I felt a force push against my side, which made me lose my grip and fall to the ground and I shook my fur and looked up to see Sakari in wolf form growling at me,

'When I said let her go, I expected you to listen'

'She is pushing my buttons and I am losing my patience with her'

'Doesn't mean you can pin her down in wolf form'

I walked past her and walked towards Adele who was still on the floor catching her breath and I lowered my head to her level and bared my teeth at her which just made her try and shrink into the floor even more. I snapped my teeth close to her neck to tell her that if she steps out of line even more, I won't hesitate to hurt her and she fearfully nodded.

I moved away from her and gestured for Sakari to go back into the bedroom so she walked in first and I walked in behind her and closed the door with my paw. I turned back around to see that she had already shifted back and I couldn't help my eyes from roaming over her body, even though I had seen it many times,

"You're such a perv Darius, get dressed"

She put some of my clothes on the bed and started changing into her own so I shifted back and proceeded putting on the clothes that she gave me,

"If you didn't stop me, I probably would've hurt her"

"Yes but I did stop you, which is the main thing, we can't have any more drama on our hands"

I nodded, "I understand but she can't just walk in here like that, imagine if we had gotten further than where we were?"

"I get where you're coming from baby, just control your anger a bit more"

"Okay"

She smiled and gave me a peck on the lips, "Thank you"

I smiled and took her hand so that we could walk downstairs and as soon we stepped into the lounge, my dad stood up and glared at me,

"How dare you hurt Adele Darius"

I narrowed my eyes at him and made my eyes flash red to show him who was in charge here,

"Know your place father"

He fearfully took a step back before he continued,

"Why did you hurt your sister Darius?"

"She needs to know her place as well and I will repeat myself again, she is no sister of mine"

"Darius just let it go"

I tensed, "Let it go? You want me to let it go?! You gave me an order to kill her boyfriend!! She thinks I'm a fucking murderer and you're telling me to let it go?!!"

I was literally shaking in anger right now, all I could see was red,

'Darius calm down; you said you'd control your anger'

Sakari's voice in my head got me to slightly calm down but not fully so I turned to face the wall and took deep breaths until I knew that I had fully calmed down. I turned back around and Sakari gave me a peck on the lips and if I wasn't calm before, I definitely was now,

"I am not going to discuss this with you right now father just know that if you choose Adele over me, there will be a consequence"

"I'm your dad, what are you going to do, banish me?" He said with a tinge of humour,

"Don't test me, push me over the edge again and I won't even think twice, now where is mum?"

"With Sharise's mother"

I nodded and took Sakari's hand and led her towards the other part of the pack house and as soon as we walked in everyone went silent, the only sound I could hear was the muffled cry of Sharise's mother,

"Mrs Prescott"

She looked up at me, "Yes alpha"

"I am very sorry about Sharise but I promise you that we will do everything we can to find her"

"I've never seen her so happy"

I looked at her confused, "What do you mean?"

"Yesterday, she came back so happy, happier than I've ever seen her and I really want to thank you"

"Oh but it was not me that made her happy, it was Sakari"

She looked at Sakari and smiled slightly, "Thank you so much and please find her"

Sakari nodded, "We won't stop looking until we do"

She nodded and I looked at my mum, "Mum, can I talk to you for a minute?"

She nodded and walked over to us and we all walked out the room out of everyone's hearing range,

"What is it that you wanted to talk about?"

"I know that we are alphas but I can't do this alone, I need your help"

"With what exactly?"

"Well as you know, the war has started and we need a plan so can you please join us in the next meeting?"

"Would that be wise?"

I looked at her confused, "Is there a reason why is wouldn't be?"

She shook her head, "Not necessarily, it's the fact that people may feel that you are not capable enough to come up with a plan"

"That is not the case"

"People have a way of over-analyzing things Darius, it's how people work and as we are wolves, anger overpowers reasoning."

I nodded, "I understand but I really do not care how the plan is thought of, just that we think of one so the meeting will be in 2 hours, please join us"

"I will be there and so will your dad"

"He will be nowhere near me mum; I do not want to even lay my eyes on him right now"

"What happened?"

"Ask him yourself, one of these days I am going to have to banish him from my pack, if he steps out of line I will, family or not"

"The fact is that if he leaves I leave as well, he's my mate and I stand by him"

"I know, even when Adele said I was a murderer you said nothing, you knew the truth mum but you didn't bother standing by me, instead you stood by the man that made my sister despise me in the first place"

"That was not the case"

"It was and you know it, I probably would have killed her today for stepping out of line but I didn't. She's lucky that I found my mate before she came otherwise I would've had no control... 2 hours mum, be there"

She nodded and me and Sakari turned around and walked away from her towards the lounge and I prayed that my dad or Adele wouldn't be in there but much to my dismay, they both were,

"I want a word Darius"

"You do not tell me that you want a word, you ask me"

He sighed, "Fine, can we have a word please Darius?"

"You can, but she cannot"

I narrowed my eyes at Adele and she looked down to the ground, I think she finally understood where her place is in the house and it is not at the top,

"She can stay"

I looked at Sakari shocked, "Says who?"

"Says me, do you want to question that?"

I shook my head; "I wouldn't dare" I looked back to my dad and Adele, "Follow us"

They nodded and we all walked towards my study where me and Sakari took a seat behind my desk and my dad and Adele took a seat opposite both of us and I gestured for them to speak,

"I would like you to apologise to Adele"

I laughed humourlessly, "Never"

"Why?"

"Well for one, she hates me and the feeling is mutual and two, you created this hate in the first place by ordering me to kill her boyfriend, so no, I will not apologise"

"It seems like the only one you listen to is Sakari"

"She is my mate, whatever she wants I'll get, whatever she wants me to do I'll do, wherever she wants to go I'll take her"

"Then maybe she can persuade you to apologise"

"Look, father, I have no idea why I should apologise and she is sitting right there, why don't you let her speak up for herself" I looked at Adele, "Come on Adele, you were cocky yesterday and now your bowing your head in silence, speak up"

"I want to speak to your mate"

"My mate has a name, address her by it!"

She sighed and looked up, "I want to speak to Sakari"

"You have 10 minutes"

I leaned over and gave Sakari a short kiss and she smiled and sent me a mind message,

'Make it 5'

I smirked and she gave me a peck on the lips and I stood up and followed my dad out of the door, leaving Sakari to talk to Adele.


Sakari's POV

"Hurry up with this because I have more important things to do"

"Like making out with your boyfriend? Yes, very important"

She rolled her eyes and I glared at her, "It's not only Darius that can hurt you, I'd have much fun doing it myself, do not test me"

"I just wanted to ask how you could start a war so quickly"

"And I want to know how that has anything to do with you"

"I'm his sister"

"And I'm his mate, who do you think he'll listen to more?"

"Did he tell you about Lucie?"

I narrowed my eyes but shook my head, "No, he didn't"

"Then he can't love you as much as he says"

"We're done here"

I stood up and was about to walk out when she said something else,

"Don't always believe what you hear Sakari, get the real story but not just from his point of view"

I shook my head and walked out of the study and upstairs to mine and Darius' room and as soon as I walked in, Darius had me trapped against the wall and he whispered in my ear,

"That was longer than 5 minutes"

I sighed, "Darius, we need to talk"

He took a step back and looked at me with a worried look on his face,

"What did I do?"

I looked at him confused, "How do you even know that you did something?"

"I just know"

"Who was Lucie Darius?"

His eyes flashed red, "What did Adele say to you?"

"To get the story from you, she said that you can't love me as much as you say you do because you haven't told me"

He looked at me hurt, "And you honestly believe that? You really think that I don't love you?"

I shook my head, "I know you love me, I just want to know why you won't tell me about Lucie"

"Because she's my past and you're my future, can't we just leave it at that?"

I shook my head, "No we can't because you won't tell me who she is! I don't understand why you won't tell me!"

"Because I don't want you to look at me any differently!"

"Darius" I walked forward and put a hand on his cheek, "What happened?"

"I was too caught up in wanting to be alpha that i took all my anger out on her, I nearly laid my hand on her one time, the day i found out she was cheating on me with my best friend. I nearly hit her, I didn't want to, i was just so overpowered by anger, I nearly lost control"

"But you didn't so what's the problem?"

"The fact that I nearly laid my hand on a woman, you must think so badly of me now"

I sighed, "Baby, that doesn't make me love you any less, she cheated on you, you were angry and anyone can understand that, why didn't you trust me with this?"

"It's not that I didn't trust you, I didn't trust myself"

"I want you to promise me to always tell me everything, no matter how much you think it may affect us"

He nodded, "I promise"

I leaned forward and pressed my lips against his lightly and he wrapped his arms around my waist and gently pulled me closer while I wrapped my arms around his neck and tangled my fingers in his hair.

He moved back so that my back was pressed up against the wall but i decided to spin us around so that his back was up against the wall instead and I pulled away from him,

"Lets not get too carried away"

"Is it bad for me to want to make love to my mate?"

I smiled, "No but not right now"

He twisted us back around and leant down next to my ear,

"Why not?"

He lightly pressed his lips against my neck and and i let out a shaky breath,

"Why not Sakari?"

I closed my eyes and grabbed a fistful of his hair while he continued to kiss my neck gently but i hated him teasing me so i lifted his head up to look at me,

"You know i hate teasing"

"You didn't answer my question" he leant down so that i could feel his lips brush against mine,

"Why not?"

"Because"

"Because what?"

"Oh screw it"

I grabbed his shirt and smashed my lips against his and i pushed him back so that he was laying back on the bed and i started straddling him,

"Feisty"

I smirked, "You like it when i'm like this"

"I love it when you're like this, it makes me want you more"

"Well" i gave him a peck on the lips, "Stop wasting time"

He eagerly pressed his lips against mine and do you want to know one annoying thing that happens due to the fact that we're alphas? We always get interrupted which is exactly what happened so i pulled away from him and sat on the bed next to him,

"Come in!"

The door opened and Rhylie walked in looking surprisingly angry,

"Rhylie, what's wrong?"

"They're here"

"Who?"

"Lukas and Alastair"

My eyes went red immediately and Darius wrapped his arm around my waist in an attempt to calm me down,

"What the hell do they want?!"

"I don't know but they want to speak to Sakari"

"Over my dead body they will!!"

Darius abruptly stood up and ran out of the room and i quickly done the same in a haste to catch up with him before he got too out of control and when i got out to the back, all of the pack fighters were in wolf form, each one of them growling and snarling at the two of them,

"You dare to come on my land!!"

"Temper temper Darius, we merely wanted to have a chat to the alpha female"

"The day that hell freezes over is the day i'll let you talk to my mate"

Lukas smirked and i felt like running over and slapping it off of his face,

"Just remember that i still have Sharise, beautiful girl"

"Touch her and i'll kill you!"

Everyone turned to face me, "She speaks for herself"

"If you lay even one finger on her, I will make you suffer so bad that you'll be wishing for death"

My voice was cold and serious but that didn't phase him at all,

"By the time you find me again" He started backing away, "She might already be dead"

I shifted in anger and ran after him as they started retreating back into the forest, what he said just got me fuming mad and i just felt like killing him,

'Sakari stop!'

'I'll kill him first before he does the same to Sharise and you're not going to stop me, mate or not!!'

I continued to chase after them, until Alastair went off in a different direction but i didn't care, my eyes were focused on Lukas and i was not going to slow down,

'Sakari?'

'What Darius? I'm busy!'

I picked up the pace but he did the same, it's a good thing that wolves have good stamina,

'If you kill him now, you're giving him an easy way out, we want him to suffer for what he's done'

He was right. I let out an intense growl, letting him know that this was far from over and slowed down my pace until i had come to a complete stop,

'I'm coming back'

'I'll bring your clothes'

I started running back to the pack house and no more than 10 minutes later, i was back in the pack house in the meeting room,

"We need a plan and we need one now!"

"We could always sneak up on them and give them a surprise attack"

I shook my head, "That would never work, that would be the first thing he'll suspect, if there's one thing that he isn't, he isn't stupid"

"I don't know what we're supposed to do"

"Think! I can't have anything else happen to anyone in the pack"

"It's not even your pack!"


Back to Darius' POV

I looked at Rhylie in shock at what he just said and looked back at Sakari to see tears brimming her eyes and thats when i got angry,

"How dare you say that!"

He looked at me regretfully, "i'm sorry, i didnt mean that"

"Why would you say that?! She is my mate and your alpha female! This is very much her pack!"

"Darius its fine, leave it"

"No! Its not fine!" I turned towards Rhylie and he looked at me fearfully, "I do not care whether that was an accidental slip of the tongue or not, you will never speak about my mate like that again and i will make sure that you never do"

"Baby, don't do anything you'll regret, its not worth it"

I looked at Sakari, "He disrespected you and i am not going to stand for it"

I turned back to face Rhylie, "Rhylie Lutton"

"Don't do it baby"

"I hereby revoke your status as beta of the shadow valley pack and demote you one level down to commader of the fighters"

"Darius please"

I shook my head and turned to face Charlie, "Charlie Slade, i hereby promote you from best pack fighter, to beta of the shadow valley pack, do you accept?"

Everyone in the room looked at me shocked and Charlie nodded speechless,

"Then it's done, everyone get out of the room, this meeting is done, dismissed!"

Everyone quickly ran out of the room and Sakari slapped me upside the head,

"You're a fucking idiot! I told you not to do that and you go and fucking do it! What the hell is wrong with you?!"

"I was angry and i wont have anyone disrespecting you as an alpha female"

She sighed, "I'm not going to lie and say i wasnt upset because i was but i didnt want you to do that, there was no need to revoke his status Darius, he looked devastated! It was out of line!"

"No! What he said was out of line! He will not say that to my mate!!"

"Baby calm down, you're letting your wolf take over"

I growled at her because my wolf was furious at the moment,

"Darius please"

I started shaking with anger,

"Sakari go" I managed to whisper out over the control of my wolf,

"No"

"Go!"

"No!"

I dropped to the ground and growled, i would've shifted ages ago but i was fighting my wolf from surfacing. I felt two arms wrap around me and Sakari whispered in my ear,

"Calm down, listen to my voice baby, just listen to me. I'm fine, everythings fine, dont let your wolf surface, assure him i'm fine, please"

'She's not fine' My wolf argued,

'She said shes fine, we should listen to our mate'

I growled but i felt my wolf retreating and i exhaled a deep breath i didnt even realise i was holding,

"Look at me baby"

I looked up at her and she placed a hand on my cheek,

"I love you more than words can say but you have to learn to let me deal with things on my own"

"I love you too and i'm sorry, i'm just protective of you, i dont wanna lose you"

She smiled and lightly pressed her lips to mine before pulling away and hugging me,

"You're not going to lose me, no matter what you do, you will never lose me"

I smiled and leaned back so that i could press my lips against hers again,

"I love you"

She pulled away and leant her forehead against mine,

"I love you too"

I gave her a peck on the lips and she stood up so i could do the same,

"I need to talk to Rhylie dont i?"

She nodded, "You do, he was really upset and he probably still is"

I sighed, "Whats done is done but i will still talk to him. Lukas is still out there though and we need a plan"

"How about we relieve your stress first" She slowly ran her hand up my shirt, "If you know what i mean"

I smirked, "Oh i know what you mean"

She sent me a seductive smile, "Then what are you waiting for?"

I let out a low growl and pressed my lips against hers while i picked her up bridal style and carried her to our room without breaking the kiss and i just forgot about all the drama and focused solely on my mate.


Lukas' POV

I walked into the pack house and went straight to the basement. I walked down the creaky steps until i reached the bottom and took in the sight before me,

"I'm back again Sharise"

"Why are you doing this?!"

"Because i love Sakari"

"But she has a mate!"

I growled, "She's supposed to be mated to me, not him!!"

She flinched back and i smirked, "I might have some fun with you Sharise, but not in the way you think"

"What are you going to do to me?" She asked fearfully,

"The answer to that links into what you're going to do for me and if you refuse, lets just say you wont being seeing your pack members again"

She looked down to hide the tears and my smirk got wider. Once i put this plan into action, i wont only get Sakari back, but i'll probably take over the pack in the process.
