Charlotte's POV

"What about this?" I asked Luke, holding up a blue dress.

"Nah, too fancy, you're just going roller skating right? Choose something more casual, like this," Luke said handing me a loose pink tanktop and some black skinny jeans. "Oh and leave your hair down.

"It's perfect! Thanks Luke!" I grinned hugging him before running into my bathroom to get ready. I put on the clothes then applied some light makeup before brushing my wavy hair out.

"Char! I think Michael's here!" Luke yelled from outside the door.

"Go let him in! I don't want my dad to open the door and interrogate him!" I yelled back.

"Okay!" Luke yelled and I heard his foot steps fade down the stairs.

"Hi Michael," I said walking into the living room.

"Hey Char, you look great," Michael greeted me with a hug.

"Thanks, you look better though," I blushed.

"Um I think I'm gonna go now," Luke muttered hurrying out the door.

"So are you ready to go?" Michael asked.

"Yup!" I said grabbing my phone and purse and following Michael out to his car.

"Michael! I'm falling!" I screamed losing my balance on my skates and falling over.

"I thought you knew how to skate!" Michael laughed helping me off of the ground.

"I did, I haven't gone skating in five years," I said trying to gain a steady balance.

"Here, I'll help," Michael smiled grabbing my hand helping me skate.

"Oh no, oh no no no no no no!" I gasped falling backwards and pulling Michael down with me. He fell over onto me and we burst into a fit of laughter. Michael leaned forward and kissed me, right there in the middle of the skating rink.

"Get a room!" Someone skating yelled. I pulled away realizing where we were, blushing slightly.

"C'mon let me reteach you how to skate," Michael chuckled helping me up.

"Okay, but I'm warning you I'm not a very good learner," I said holding Michael's hand again so we could attempt to skate. Michael's phone started to ring and Michael excused himself to answer it, he had a worried look on his face when he skated towards a quiet part of the building. I sat down next to the Snack Bar to wait for Michael.

"Is everything okay?" I asked when Michael came back.

"Yeah, but we have to go," Michael said nervously scratching the back of his neck.

"Why? I was just getting the hang of it," I pouted. "What's the rush anyways? The fundriaser doesn't start until 7."

"I have to.....uh...be there early for sound check," Michael said.

"Oh okay, then can I come?" I asked.

"No!" Michael yelled. "I mean...the boys don't want anyone to distract us from practice."

"Okay," I sighed. "Let's go."

"I'm so sorry, I had a lot of fun though," Michael smiled weakly as he parked in my driveway.

"Yeah, I did too," I said opening the car door to get out. "See you later Michael." I stood at my front door and watched him drive away, but not in the direction of the fundriaser or his house...

"Who was that?" My mom's boyfriend, Sam, smirked. They'd been dating for a couple years now and Sam lived with us, but I'm not complaining, he was great, especially since I never knew my dad.

"Michael," I said.

"Is he your boyfriend?" Sam asked following me intot he kitchen.

"I don't think so," I shrugged. "We went on a date, that's all."

"Okay, okay, but he's a pretty decent looking guy," Sam winked before going to the living room.

"Luke?" I asked shocked to se him at my front door right as I was about to leave for the funraiser. "What're you doing here?"

"Came to pick you up, is that such a crime?" Luke chuckled flashing me a grin.

"No, it's just Michael said you guys had an early sound check," I said following him into his car.

"No, we haven't done sound check yet," Luke said starting up the car and driving towards the fundraiser.

"You mean, Michael lied to me..?"
