Jack stepped into the Lava Springs Country Club wearing khakis and his signature gray polo. He requested a table and waited for Ms. Darbus. He looked towards the entrance and saw Darbus walk in. She was wearing a blue flowy dress and her shawl. "You look ravishing," he said, pulling out her chair.
"Thank you Jack. This is a great place"
"I already picked a wine, I hope you don't mind," Jack said, slowly pouring her a glass.
"Welcome to the Lava Springs Country Club. My name is Troy and I'll- Dad??? Darbus?? Why are you here?!"
"Troy! Why are you here!" Jack bolted up from his seat.
"I got a job, remember? What are you and Darbus doing here?"
"Special teacher business"
"At a country club?"
"You're right, this is an odd location for a teacher meeting. Why don't we reconvene at the school, Ms. Darbus?"
"Of course, Mr. Bolton. Troy, I'll see you on Monday," Darbus added, nodding at Troy before leaving quickly.
"Don't tell your mom about this, okay, Troy?"
"Why not?"
"Uh she doesn't like it when I work on the weekends"
"But-"
"Bye, Troy! See you at home!" Jack called, bumping into chairs as he made his escape.
