Chapter 3

Expulsion

“Please tell me you did more than just punch him” My mother said as she glided into the room, swaying her hips seductively. A smile on her lips as she eyed the head of Dark Knights Academy. I rolled my eyes as she leaned down, placing her hands on the desk showing him an eyeful of her cleavage. I was used to my mothers little ‘displays’, it was what she did and she did it extremely well. The head visibly swallowed and diverted his eyes, suddenly finding the small calendar on his desk very interesting.

“I broke his nose”  I mumbled glancing down at my red chipped nails.

I heard my mother sigh with a look of disappointment on her perfect made-up face. Her red lips curved from her smile into a scowl. “I thought I taught you better-” The head started to nod in agreement at my mothers statement. “Why didn’t you grab a knife and carve him up a bit-” His nod transformed into a fierce shake of his head. It looked like he was having a fit. “God Raven, your such a disgrace. You should have gutted the bastard. Slowly and painfully.” She finally finished, her faint smile back just at the thought of torturing an incubus. I on the other hand had a look of disgust on my face. I could never gut a person thats just gross. My mother finally sat in the chair next to me crossing her legs elegantly. The head had turned a bright shade of tomato during my mothers lecture. He didn’t look pleased.

“This isn’t a joke” The head finally huffed at us. His deep voice didn’t exactly go with the garden gnome thing he had going. He even had a red hat to match. “Your daughter attacked a student” My mother scoffed opening her mouth to say something, but the head cut her off with a deadly glare. “I only see expulsion as an option” My eyes widened at his decision. I opened my mouth than shut it again

“What?” I finally squeaked looking at him like he was crazy. Which he was. Chad also abused me. He also deserved to be punished. “How is that the only freaking option!”

He rose both his eyebrows at me like I was stupid. “Well..” he started slowly. “You skip class, never hand work in on time, never go to detention, never actually do work and now your attacking students” A smug grin settled over his features. “I only see it fair”

“What of the other boy?” Mother asked not seeming concerned about my expulsion. I on the other hand was freaking out. Even though I hate it here, I hate humans even more. Well more the way they react to us, always trying to get our attention or they get obsessed and turn psycho stalker. Here monsters don’t have such a bad reaction. Well except from the fact that they hate us.

“What of him? He was the victim here-“

“He poured hot coffee-“

“You broke his nose!” He roared “Now get packing!”

“Well, fuck you!” I screamed jumping out my chair. With lightning quick moves I grabbed his coffee and poured it over his head, reenacting what Chad did to me. “Hey, look we match” I sneered. I felt some satisfaction looking at the head drenched in coffee. I think I could die happy now. With a smug grin in his direction, I spun on my heel and walked out his office.

The few people who were still outside gave me curious looks as I stomped across the green lawn which had a sign stating ‘Don’t walk on the grass’. It didn’t take long for me to reach my dorm where the bitchy kelpie and her friends were talking in the doorway. I cleared my throat waiting for them to move but I don’t think their brains comprehended why I was standing in front of them clearing my throat. The glanced at me before going back to they’re conversation about god knows what. The kelpie sneered at me narrowing her eyes. ‘Rapist’ she mouthed her mouth turning in to a grin. I felt my anger bubbling over she stood there blocking my entrance to my dorm.

“Can you please move” I asked through gritted teeth. She just snorted like a pig. A pig I was about to turn into bacon. My hand darted out, grabbing her upper arm in a death grip. She yelped trying to pull away my hand which getting hotter by the second. Pulling her closer I whispered in her ear as she continued to whimper in pain as my hand burnt her skin. “Let me ask you again, can you and your friends move!”

Looking up the girls stared wide eyed before parting like the red sea at my glare. Letting go of the kelpie I walked through and straight up the hallway to my room. The sound of my heels smacking against the wood echoed through the empty hallway. Some one had carved the word rapist in the wood the join the red paint. Sliding the key in the door opened easily, no clothing was there to block the door. Looking around all I saw were old paintings and worksheets. Workbooks had been piled on the floor next to my unmade bed. I grabbed a couple of the artworks and my messenger bag, shoving all my art supplies and laptop in it until I could zip it up. Looking at the room had lived in for the past year and all the junk still lying around a devious idea formed in my mind.

“Well if I’ve already been expelled…” I mumbled to myself. Putting my canvasses outside and slinging my bag over my shoulder, I walked back in my room to the highly flammable curtains. I grabbed all my school books, throwing them carelessly around my desk. Rubbish, papers and homework sheets were quick to join. In no time I had every single flammable thing in the room thrown to cover the entire floor. With an evil cackle I set the piece of paper in my hand on fire and let it fall carelessly from my fingers. It didn’t take long for the fire to spread throughout the room. Grabbing the handle I slammed the door close, the base catching some of the flames. Picking up the pieces of art I continued down the hall to the fire alarm. Smashing the glass the shrill of the alarm went through the entire build. Girly screams sounded through the build followed by the slamming of doors. I quickly ran out the building not stopping until I made to my mothers red Porsche in the car park. I cringed when I spotted her flirting with some boys from my class, totally oblivious to the girls dorm which was currently on fire.

“Kat” I screamed at her. My mothers name was actually Catherine but she thought it made her sound old even though she only looked 20. So I was forbidden to call her Mother or Catherine, only Kat. She scowled at me turning back the boys, probably saying how her ‘sister’ is so annoying. Dismissing herself from the group she sauntered over to car. As soon as it was unlocked I threw my stuff in the boot then quickly jumped in the passenger seat.

“So darling, where are your clothes?” Mother asked raising her eyebrow. My mind drifted to basement of the building I just set on fire and how my clothes were in two of the washers.

“Shit” I hissed, taking all my anger out on the the leather seats of the car.

“Darling mind the seats” She hissed starting the car. “And don’t worry about the clothes. I think it’s about time we had a girls day out” and with that we peeled out the parking lot and sped away Dark Knights Academy disappearing in the rear vision mirror.
