GMW- It's Just a Stupid Game

Chapter 8

Riley's POV:

I huffed ending the call from Shawn

"Who was it?" Lucas asks seeing my tired expression

"It was Shawn, he was asking if Maya slept over and I said yes because i still feel like it was our fault-"

Lucas cut me off with a short kiss

"Riley calm down.....it's gonna be ok, they will talk to us eventually" he mumbles

I nod giving into the kiss

"I just hope their ok......" i add

Lucas nods

But after a moment Lucas looks over at the clock and says "I better get back home......"

I nod

"Love you" he says

"Love you too......" i reply and with that he left

Farkle's POV:

I kissed her hastily as she turned to tell me to go and I could tell she was shocked

I winked at her which brought a faint blush to her face

I finally left and now I was walking back home to my condo

My lips buzzing from excitement and couldn't help but smile to myself

I then felt a shoulder bump into mine, ripping me out of my thoughts

"Watch where you're going you-" my insult died at my throat when I looked to see it was Lucas

"I-I'm so sorr-" his sentence died as soon as he noticed it was me

My eyes narrowed

"Farkle-" he starts but I cut him off

"I don't want to hear it......" I say holding my hand up

He sighs, "I-I know but please let me apologize, we didn't mean to-"

"Didn't mean to.....?" I ask outraged walking towards him angrily

"You knew exactly what you were doing...." I say poking his chest with each syllable

"I'm sorry ok! The game threatened us, we didn't want to....." He says his voice wavering

I laughed a cold hearted laugh "Did it threaten to kill you?"

"N-no"

"Did it threaten your ability to live in any sort of mobility....?"

He shook his head no

"Did it threaten you with a life endangering animal like a lion, a tiger, or for God's sake a bear?"

"theythreateneduswithbugs" he mumbles

"What?" I say not hearing him clearly

"They threatened us with bugs ok!?" he exclaims his eyes darting to the floor

I shoved him hard, and he backed up trying to regain his balance

"So you're saying you basically sold my body out because of some dirty bugs.....?" I huff, my anger swirling around my brain in circles

He looked down not saying anything

"Some friend...." I mumble and bump his shoulder when passing him

Some fucking friend, I'd say.

And with that I continue my journey back to my apartment, thoughts and anger encasing me

Maya's POV:

After eating dinner I quickly made my way back to my room

I couldn't focus especially since farkle had come through the window

I had been distracted throughout dinner and I think my mom and shawn could tell so they let me eat in silence

Sitting in bed, I just couldn't shake the excitement that bubbled within me

I could still feel the kiss as if it only happened a second ago

I yelped as something snapped me out of my thoughts

I turned to the window and saw pebbles being thrown

I smile

I walk over and open the window

"farkle, you can't keep doing thi-" but my sentence died in my throat

This was not Farkle

"H-hey peaches...." her voice wavers

My face went cold

I immediately closed the window and she gasped

I almost crushed her fingers from the window

Obviously I hadn't meant to do that but my face didn't falter to let her know I was not talking to her

She pouted "Maya please....."

I lowered my curtain to cover her pleading eyes

"Leave me alone Riley" I say and with that I stomp over to my bed

I huff and pull the blankets up to my chin and wait for sleep to take over

I could tell Riley was still there from her petite shadow on my wall, but when she finally leaves I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding

How were we gonna get out of this one?

So yes, I am back, but I am not sure if I'll continue to update quickly

I'm assuming as summer approaches that I'll have more free time, so that's something to look forward to

I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, I'm sorry it was short but the next one will be longer
