*One Week Later*

Beca's POV
Chloe wasn't right. She tried to act okay, but she wasn't. At work she was almost not there. She was there physically, but mentally her mind was God only knows where. After work was when it got really bad. It was nearly 12:30am and I had just began to doze off when my phone started ringing. It was unusual for me to be getting a phonecall, nobody ever calls me unless it's Jason. This time it was Chloe, but the person on the phone was definitely not her. I had only knew the girl for a few weeks, but I knew her enough to realize that this person wasn't her.
"HEY BECA!!!" Chloe screams into the phone. "What up girl!" I blink my eyes as a drunken Chloe continues to talk. "Listen, Jake ditched me here at this bar and I really don't have a car to get me home. I was wondering if I could get you, a good friend of mine, for a ride to come get me?" She slurred into the phone. "Pleaseeeeee?" "Where are you." I respond tiredly. "I don't even know right now!" She giggles. "Theres purple lights and pink and some blue. A lot of hot men here with strong muscles!" She must be at Zuri's one of the only bars in town with lights like that. "I'll be right there. Just wait for me by the door." "Wooooo!" Chloe screams before I hang up. I rolled out of bed and threw on a sweat jacket before grabbing my keys and heading into the hall and elevator, out to my car. The streets were quiet and dimly lit with very few street lamps until I get to town. My tired eyes take a little bit to adjust to the bright lights and I drive cautiously watching out for any drunks tripping over their own feet at this late hour. It happens more often than not, you'd be surprised. Why they thought building a nightclub ten minutes from campus was a good idea is beyond me. I park across the street from Zuri's and step out of my car hugging my body from the cold. I cross the street and look fro Chloe, who doesn't appear to be standing outside where I asked her to. I walk up to the bouncer at the door, a stern looking black man with a thick beard. "Excuse me sir?" He turns to face me. "Have you seen a redheaded woman?" I hold my hand up gesturing Chloe's height. "About ye tall and-" He interupts me. "This her?" He says pointing to the young girl in fetal position on the ground behind him. She was kinda out of it, but then she saw me. "Becky! Hey girl! I'm right here!" I look to the bouncer and mouth a "thank you" before walking over to Chloe. "C'mon Chloe lets get you home." I say grabbing her arm and pulling her up. "This woman..." Chloe says loudly directing her voice towards the bouncer. "This woman is my savior!" I sling Chloe's arm over my shoulder and look towards the bouncer. "Sorry about this." I apologize. He nods. "Good luck."

We stumble across the street to my car and I open the passenger door for Chloe as she slips in. "I'm taking you back to my place." I tell her, climbing into the drivers seat. I start the car and Chloe leans her head on the window humming some song that I can't make out. "I know we just met Beca, but you madam, are my best friend." I look over at Chloe and smile. I know she's drunk, but I feel like she actually might've meant that.

When we get to my apartment, I help Chloe out of my car and over to the elevator. We ride up to my room as she mumbles words under her breath that reeks heavily of alcohol. When I get her into my apartment, I take off my jacket and hang it with my keys on the hook just inside the door, and we move slowly to my bedroom. "Lets get you into something more comfortable." I tell her. "Mhm. Undress me Becs." She says seductively, biting her lip. If I wasn't so tired I would've thought that was extremely sexy, but right now, my main concern was how much sleep I would be able to get tonight. I assist Chloe as she lifts her dress up over her head exposing her bare skin. I try not to gaze down at the valley her tiny black bra provides and bite my lip. Chloe giggles and reaches her arms behind her, trying to unclasp her bra. As much as I wouldn't mind her doing that, I put my hands on her elbows, "You can leave that on, let me just grab you some pajamas," I say turning towards my dresser. Chloe plops herself down on the edge of my bed as I rummage around my drawer, finally pulling out a large dark green tee shirt and some boxer shorts. "Throw these on, I'll be right back." I say tossing the clothes at her. I proceed to my bathroom where I grab a glass of water and some asprin from the cabinet, and head back out to Chloe. "Take this, you're gonna need it." I tell her, handing her the asprin and water. She takes it easily and hands the water back to me. I walk it over to the right side of the bed where she will be sleeping and put the water on the night stand. I pull back the covers and tell Chloe that we need to go to sleep, and she crawls across the bed and under the covers. I flip the lamp on her side off as she snuggles in and lays her head down on the pillow. "Goodnight Bec-sa..." She slurs. "Goodnight Chloe." I say with a chuckle in a tone as if I was talking to a child. I climb in bed and face away from her taking a deep breath and flipping my lamp off. I feel her exaggerated deep breath on the back of my neck and her warm oxygen sends chills down my spine. I lay there for a few moments just listening to Chloe breathe, and contemplating sleeping on the floor. If she wasn't drunk, she probably wouldn't have allowed herself to get this close, not that I didn't enjoy this unusual close contact. My eyes are open and it feels as if they may never close. Then out of nowhere, I feel a hand creep up onto my head and begin massaging it, through fistfuls of my hair. I let it go for a solid minute, about to say something when Chloe speaks. "You have gorgeous hair." "Thank you, thank you. Now try to sleep." I seriously feel like I'm talking to a child. The hand suddenly goes away, and I immediately regret telling her to stop. At that moment, I could've laid there for hours while she massaged my head. It felt so damn good. Something like I've never experienced, her soft hand being ever so gentle with me. I gotta admit. I really like Chloe Beale, like a lot.
