You say you'll never leave,
That you'll never hurt me,
You come and go,
I should say my goodbyes,
But I can't for if I do; I'll die.

My heart is yours,
I'm so very poor,
You come and go,
I have nothing else to give you,
I'm done; I'm through.

I lie to myself,
My life is a book on a shelf,
You come and go,
I'm filled with sadness,
You are nothing but blackness.

My life is empty,
But I've had plenty of you and your memory,
You come and go,
I have come so far,
You were my shining star.

I have a scar on my heart,
You tore me apart,
You come and go,
I now say goodbye,
So I'll never die.
