My Sonnet

My cat and frog are nothing alike;
My bat is far more Intelligent than my dog;
If love may be simple, then why is it so much like a bite;
If it may be love then why is it like a fog?

I have seen many couples with ruffled feathers,
But no such love exists between them,
And in some cases when love is almost lost there is hope in the weather,
Than the dove that flies down to the opaque gem.

I love to know why the cat and frog are nothing alike, yet well i know,
That it's impossible because life hath far more equal love,
I grant I never will find such a beautiful thing such as cold snow,
My dearest one, when she glides in the wind like the beautiful dove.

Yet by heaven, I think our love is not to be as a gentle sigh,
As a kind as a lullaby.
