Just as you decided that it must have come from up stairs and began proceeding upward, holding on to the carved banister. Another noise startled you from behind.
'The kitchen maybe? It sounded like pans clattering.'

You glance down towards the area you came from and creeped towards the presumed kitchen.

Peering around the wall you notice a tall being with their back to you. They were humming a sweet tune and baking even sweeter treats. The smell of fresh baked cupcakes wafted from the stove and there aroma caused your mouth to drool and stomach to grumble.
Upon hearing the sound of a grumbling stomach with his non existent ears the being turned and spotted you. Frozen in your path you stutter before letting out a shriek.
"Oh dear! Hush, hush now."

The man-or so you assumed from his tone of voice- stepped towards you, placing one of his hands over you mouth to silence you and the other on the small of your back to usher you further into the kitchen.

"Hush now. You don't want to be waking up everyone. Especially not Slendy, you'd ruin the surprise dear."

"Surprise?" Came your hand-muffled reply.

The figure released you from his grasp as you seemed calmer, and moved aside so you could veiw the treats he'd been baking.

'Happy Birthday Slendy' is the message spread over many cupcakes.

'Oh' You felt rather awkward. This was an odd Situation. The tall, faceless being caused goosebumps on your arms but seemed to be harmless but how could you be sure. You had no idea what you've walked into. You just wanted to go home.

Then your stomach chimed in again and brought you out of your stupor.

Hearing a strained giggle behind you, you turn your head. The tall beings shoulders shook lightly as he was obviously trying not to laugh as you could her him snicker.
"Here, take one of them, I made plenty to spare!"

You thank him as you gratefully take the cupcake he offered.
"It's delicious!" It was your favourite flavour- FF- what an amazing coincidence.
"Did you get lost?" He asked as he returned to icing cupcakes.
"oh, yes. Do you think you could help me?" You stare at the apron you only just noticed him wearing, which read ' stressed is just desserts backwards' with a winking cupcake on it.
" Of course. Where do you need to go?"
"I need to find a local town."
"ah, yes. I know where one is. Come with me"

Taking your hand gently in his he began to walk you to your intended destination. Out the house and through the dense and now dark forest. Your walk with him was very pleasant, as he was very patient with you since he took far larger strides than you and  purposely slowed so that you could keep to a comfortable pace.

Upon passing a patch of flowers he bent down and in one graceful movement plucked a single red flower. Twirling it in his long fingers he turned and tucked it behind your left ear. Although you couldn't see a mouth, you could have sworn you'd seen him smile.

After a while you came to the edge of the woods.
"ok dear, from here you go left." you flashed him a smile, and beckoned him to stoop to your height. Once he did you couldn't help yourself and you hugged him.
"Thank you. For everything."

You began to walk off in the direction he told you. Once upon a slight incline you chanced a glance back, his blushing face peered back at you and he raised his arm in a small wave.
