Deciding that it must have come from up stairs you proceed upward, holding on to the carved banister.

Once reaching the top you glance down the hallways. Left or right? Taking your chances with right you walk down the dim lighted hallway. After a short time walking your attention is drawn to a dull grey door that has engraved designs of what seems to be a circus. You had always loved carnivals, the food, the entertainment, so being the curious person you where you decided to enter the room.

The first thing you notice is the gigantic piles of candy- rainbow heaps. Empty candy rappers litter the floor making it sticky. Flashing carnival lights are strung from the centre of the ceiling to the four corners of the room. Amidst the candy hoard lay a medium sized black and white stripped bed.

Hearing a strained giggle behind you, you turn your head. Behind you stood a tall, strapping monochrome clown. His lips twitched, he was obviously trying not to laugh as you could her him snicker.

"Hello there, love." he grasped your hand and kissed it. You blush. Not once had any man been so gentleman like to you.

" Today must be my lucky day. Lovely ladies are so rare nowadays." your blush intensifies and you smile shyly at him.

"Did you get lost?"

"oh, yes. Do you think you could help me?"

" Of course, love. Where do you need to go?"

"I need to find a local town."

"ah, yes. I know where one is. Not to far from here, you won't have to walk long."

Taking your hand in his he began to walk you to your intended destination. Down the hall, out the house and through the dense and now dark forest. During your walk with him you noticed how he literally had a spring in his step when he walked, how contently he hummed a familiar tune and every once in a while grasping your hand tightly and twirling you.

After a while you came to the edge of the woods, turning abruptly to face your chaperon you saw him frown, but upon noticing your stare quickly faked a smile.

"ok, from here you go left." you flashed him a smile, you couldn't help yourself and you hugged him.

"Thank you. For everything."

You began to walk off, suddenly a hand grasped your wrist. Turning your face you where met with a quick and subtle kiss. Within a blink of an eye he disappeared.

Touching your lips you smile. Turning back you begin to walk of into the distance towards the town.
