Dominik walked into the club through the back door as usual. He hadn't been in the club for three nights due to his wolf acting insane while Kitten was staying with Loco at first.

He unlocked his office as he did every night, placing the bags on his desk before locking the office back and heading onto the floor to check in. He looked around the club spotting her leaning against the bar talking to Anya, a short black dress hugging her body perfectly but still covering the scars that covered her back. He fought back the urge to growl as he remembered the conversation they had at Loco's.

He knew how cruel the world was, how horrible it could be. He had faced it plenty of times and sometimes been part reason for it. But there was a level of cruelness that even he could kill over, there was nothing more he hated then a man taking a woman by force. But Kitten had been no woman of ripe age and body, she had been just a child. Those were the kind of animals that deserved to be eaten alive by the kin of Dominik.

Kitten didn't deserve to have that kind of life, she was too kind and sweet. No one deserved to be taken that way, but there were some that deserved to sport the same kind of scars she did. He knew he was one of them, but she was not. He had always known her past was hard. It was clear by the way she acted, the marks on her body, and the fact she was just a 19-year-old kid living on the streets. But he had never known how bad, in truth he hadn't really cared.

He wasn't even sure when he began to care. Was it the first time she laughed? The first time she touched him? That first kiss? Or was it from the very beginning when she walked into the bakery and her eyes, made him feel like he would never find a pair as amazing as hers?

He ignored the urge to go over to her, instead moving towards Loco first, anything to keep his mind off the girl that somehow had captured many of his thoughts. He slapped his friend on his shoulder, and nodded to him when he acknowledged Dominik with the same nod.

"She's been better since she saw you yesterday but I don't think it's a good idea her being back at work. She hadn't eaten for two days and first day after eating she wants to come to work?" Loco was blunt and to the point as always, his eyes darting just pass Dominik's shoulder. Something Dominik both admired and hated in the big man.

"I will pull her from the floor for the night, she can work behind the bar with Anya. I wanted her to start training as a bartender anyways." Dominik said with a nod turning away to leave only to be stopped with a hand to his shoulder. He turned his attention fully back onto his friend.

"I don't know what you have planned, I know it's something. You are too smart to take the kinds of chances you are with her for you to not have something planned. But I like that kid, she's a good girl who had a tough run of things. Don't play her feelings just for your endgame, Dom." It wasn't a question, or suggestion. It was a flat-out order, something that Dominik didn't always take well to. He looked up at his larger friend and glared at him, shaking off the large hand on his shoulder.

"It's none of your business what I do with the girl, she is mine to do as I see fit. Get back to work." Dominik turned away before his friend could say more, his wolf clawing to get out.

Who was Loco to order him around when it came to anything, especially Kitten? Dominik made his way to the bar, nodding to Anya as he stopped before them.

"Anya, I want Jade behind the bar with you tonight. I don't want her on the floor until further notice. Start training her as a bartender." Dom ordered and moved to Jade, taking her arm in his hand and pulling her back into his office.

He didn't miss the look in Anya's eyes, the look that showed him her wheels were turning though he had no idea why, and as he led his Kitten back to his office he didn't care. Nor did he care about the way the women staff were looking at him, staring at Jade. He didn't care the way Jade was becoming nervous the closer they got to his office, the smell radiating off her skin like a thin layer of perfume.
