Chapter IV - War Never Changes

     War never changes. It’s always a bloody battle between two disagreeing sides. Many casualties are had on the battlefield, and nothing can be done to prevent this. Both sides fight until one side can’t take waging on anymore, granting the other side victory. Even though it may not be the most beneficial way of debate, it seems to still be one of the most common.

      Recently, there was a new major war, and that was World War III. One of the biggest wars in the history of mankind, since nuclear technology is used from both sides now. The main enemy of many countries is the terrorist group Isis. The war was over in a matter of time, Isis just barely losing. However, the peace after the war was short-lived.

     Shortly after WW3, a new enemy approached. They have an army just as good as every army of ours on Earth, if not better, and they work for some kind of “Dark Lord”, as they call him. They seem to be advanced to us in every way. However, we’ve won about half the battles of this new war, despite the fact that we’re the underdogs, so that’s a good sign. One bad thing, however, is that we can’t find their base, no matter how hard we look. Therefore, we can’t attack the source. However, before most battles, our scientists detect a high energy source in the direction of the enemy, but we are currently not sure what this means.

     That is the current story of our country’s military, and as well as mine. I’m Suicidal Demon, and I’ve been working in the military for my country since I was five, as the World War against Isis needed to have everyone they could get to train in the army to fight them. They were a real dangerous threat, and not everybody who fought in the war survived. I, however, happened to survive and get through life to my current age of 20. They kept me in the military, but I didn’t mind. I was a great soldier, after all.

     I’ve trained really well, and went ahead of most of the flock. I’m currently a lieutenant colonel, and I’ve done more than enough to earn this spot. However, today is yet another battle against this opposing force. We got up this morning earlier than usual due to an alarm going off. I called my troops under me, “Get up, men! The enemy is attacking, and we must counter them before they get to our base! Come on, let’s move!”

     I picked up my  russian blue cat, Benjie Cat, who was still quite tired, and took him with me. He’s surprisingly good at combat, even though he’s only a cat. He carries around a sash with quite a few poisonous switch blades, which he throws at his enemies. He also has a belt with a larger poison switch blade, which he uses in melee combat. He also has a bandana over his muzzle, though it’s only for design purposes, and a camouflage suit covering most of his body. Though, I was amazed at his capabilities ever since I found him, cornered in an alleyway. He was doing alright against his attackers, but I knew he would quickly run out of energy and throwing blades, as he was panting quite heavily. I threatened the people who were cornering him, and from what I could tell, they were only capturing him for the sake of using him for money. However, they ran away after I pointed both of my .45 Defender Pistols at them. I then took him home and took care of him after that.

     By the time I got ready for combat, our troops were already geared up and in line. We all ran out of our hidden base in the desert, and right into the sandstorm, which for some reason never stopped. We then hopped in some helicopters, planes, and tanks, then made our way towards a mysterious energy source, which we knew meant the oncoming opponent. On this trip towards our enemy, Benjie Cat woke up some more and was finally focused for battle. When we saw the horde of vehicles and soldiers on the horizon, we all got out of our vehicles and took formation. As they got closer to us, we all took aim at them. They seemed to have noticed us by this point, and were starting to take their guns out and aim at us. I told my troops to fire at the enemy, and many others did as well. We fired, and without hesitation, bullets came rushing from the other side as well.
