Being thrown against a wall isn't how Maple wanted this to go, feeling the usual rumble of the earth only caused more panic to flood Maple's senses. Staggering to her feet the man from her past continued to advance towards her, bracing her body against the wall Maple raised her head and met the man eye to eye.

With a shallow breath Maple forced out the only question on her mind, "who are you?" The man with the crimson eyes face split into a malicious grin "don't you remember me, Gaea? I was there when you destroyed that town, I've been there every time you've caused chaos."

Maple could feel her heart beat faster at the mention of her past, she looked past the crimson eyed man, waging her luck of getting to the door before him but she knew she wouldn't be able to make it, she's not stupid enough to think she could.
Moving her eyes back to the man, she notices he's taken another step towards her, her heart continuing to beat like crazy.

Squaring her shoulders and locking her feet in place, a glare set upon her face Maple heaves in a deep breath before speaking with enough force behind her voice to rumble the ground beneath them. "Tell me who you are"
The crimson eyed man watches her like a predator watches it's prey, eyes solely focused on the girl in front of him.

"I have been called many different things, my dear child. But most call me Chaos, you were born from me, your powers were born from my blood!" A sickening feeling took over Maples entire being, palms sweating as her brain tried to comprehend what this man had just said.
Maple couldn't even pretend to know what was going on, all she knew is that she had to get away from this man before it was too late.

Drawing in a sharp breath, Maple through her hands towards the ground feeling the familiar rumble and serge of power that usually came when using her powers. Feeling the earth rise below her feet she raised her head to match his gaze, eyes aflame with the fire that resided inside her small frame.

"Ya'know, I don't take kindly to people barging into my house, especially vampires" raising her arms above her head, Maple watches, unblinking as the earth beneath them sprouts from under the house, cocooning the vampire in a mixture of dirt and clay. Resting her hands on her knees and taking a deep breath, Maple is startled by the sound of cracking mud.

"Wrong move, Gaea. You'll have to try harder than that" his dark voice sends shivers down Maples spine, a cold hand is placed around her throat before she is thrown into the wall across from them. Staggering to her feet Maple thrust a hand towards Chaos, locking eyes with him as the windows around them shatter into a million tiny pieces.

Shards of glass embedded themselves into Maples body, blood was dripping from a wound on her head, her vision blurry and body weak. Chaos chuckles, getting into a fighting position "you're getting weak, Gaea. You haven't used your powers in a long time".

Taking a step toward the man who has haunted her memories, she grabs him by the collar of his shirt, flinging his body towards the floor, causing his body to dig up floor boards as his body slides against them. "I really hate when people think they can lay their hands on someone and get away with it"

Maple can hear the cracking of lightning, can smell the rain that falls, all due to her. Yet none of this bothers her like it usually would. Closing her eyes, she inhales before the intense feeling of heat overwhelms her senses. Opening her eyes she looks around seeing that everything in the room was set alight.

Without thinking Maple rolls her shoulders back, locking eyes with the man still on the floor, her eyes glowing a faint gold. Watching the flames crawl towards him, Chaos hurries to his feet, eyes filled with fear at what he just saw the girl become.

All around are flames, tall hot flames that lick at against Maples skin, never burning just simply there. Straining to stay awake Maple leans against the couch, reaching her hand up she feels the sticky substance she knows to be blood dripping from her nose.

A loud crash startles Maple, looking to her left she sees bits of the roof start to crumble due to the heat of the flames. Maple can hear voices coming from her front door, she tries to call out but her body is too weak.
Blinking in and out of consciousness the last thing Maple hears is the sound of her head hitting the ground before she is thrusted into the void.

A/N: wow Idk why this took me so long to get out lmao. This is probably really crappy but I've been working on it for about a week which sucks to me bc the rest of the chapters were done within a few hours.
Oh well, hopefully this book doesn't become a flop :/
