That night, I stayed over at Ry's house. I'm still quite skeptical about Ry's story. I'm not even sure if his name really is Ry.

Sighing I look out the four panel window. Every thing is so peaceful and quiet here. It makes me jumpy. I'm used to continues noise and this silence unnerves me. I can just imagine a serial killer from a horror movie behind me. I laugh silently, Aléde you make me laugh with your overreacting imagination.

"You're still up" a voice looms from the shadows.

I jump and let loose a yelp which immediately sends me blushing. "You gave me a heart attack."

A small chuckle fills the dark room. Crack. The light fills the room making me squint into the glare.

I see Ry sitting in an arm chair across the now lit room. With as usual a smirk on his face.

"Why are you still up?" I countered.

He shrugged, "Perks of being immortal, I don't need to sleep."

Of course he does not need to sleep. Honestly at this point I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled out a light-saber and challenged me to a duel.

"Why are you not a sleep?" He asked, his usual arrogance in his voice gone and instead replaced with concern. Since when and why is he concerned.

I shrugged not really wanting to bother giving him an answer. For all I still know, he is an evil alien trying to gather intel on human life. It could happen. Besides I still don't know or even trust this guy.

He sighed. I could tell I was beginning to annoy the dude, but honestly I don't care. Why should I. He has done nothing to prove if he is trustworthy or not.

"Are you having dreams?" Ry asked. He was trying I would definitely give him that but I still could not understand his interest in me. Why was he bothering with me. More importantly why did he care about my well being. How did I attract his attention in the first place.

"What goes on in my head when I am asleep is none of your concern." I replied coolly not looking at him.

"So I can take that as a yes then?" He replied his smugness evident in his voice. Heck I can practically picture him with his usual smirk on his face.

"Why do you care Ry? Why are you so interested with me?" I asked.

"Why not?" He replied.

I turn to face him, my expression blank, "I am a monster Ry, I do not even know what I am, atleast you have an identity. You do not have to wake up every morning wondering if they have found you yet! You do not need to worry about hurting people if you feel an emotion no matter how small it is Ry! You know nothing about me and you should not care or have any interest in a freak like me!" I said keeping my voice even but I could feel the frustration swirling in me like a tornado destroying my self control in its path.

Ry kept quiet. I need to do something or else the tornado will come out. I crossed the room picking up a pen and paper. I returned to my seat and started doodling. It kept me calm and I was not sure why. I glanced up at Ry. He was still quiet which was unlike him. He seemed to be assessing me. Taking in all my features and recording them for future reference.

"Who is them?" He asked quietly. I did not hear exactly what he said.

"What?"

"In your little speech you mentioned a them, who are they?" He asked again. I paled, how could I let them slip. He is going to know how screwed I am if I mention that I am being hunted.

"N-No o-one" I stuttered.

"I know your lying." He replied coolly.

"Just these people who are following me around." I muttered. Ry raised his eyebrows at me and I can not help wondering how is he dealing with this situation. How is he still so calm about everything. Why is he not running away from me. I nearly destroyed his house and that was for feeling upset and confused, imagine what could happen if I got angry.

"Aléde, who are these people?" Ry asks again.

"No one, you do not need to worry about them." I replied bluntly. Ry scoffs, I could tell that he did not believe me but I my statement was half true. I had no idea who they were, so I guess they are no one but still someone. I am probably overthinking this again am I not?

I stand slowing stretching my back as I do so. I can see Ry watching me out of the corner of his eye.

"I am off to bed, I shall see you in the morning." I reply heading out the room into the guest room.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Ry's point of view

Aléde was a mystery. A very big one, I doubt Sherlock Homes could even figure her out. She is so powerful and she doesn't even realize that she is only at the tip of the peak. But the question still remains, what is she? I have done my research on her but all her records point to her being powerful and dangerous. Heck! I'm scared of her and she hasn't done anything to me yet.

My eyes search the skyline while I am contemplating this. Nothing about her connects, being an orphan to her reluctance to sleep.

There is someone who could help me though. An old friend of mine, she is a retired hunter. She now trains newer recruits.

I stand up and start dialing her. She picks up on the first ring.

"Ry! You better have a good reason to waking me up at two in the morning!" She screeches from the other end.

"Abigail, quiet down!" I screech back,"I need your help."

"You always need my help"

"I do not"

"Do too"

"Abby, it's about the new girl Aléde." There was silence on the other end.

"Ry, you need to stay away from her, she is dangerous."

"You know what she is" I reply astounded.

Her voice replies remarkably quieter, " I think I do, I thought that all her kind was banished or at the least extincted."

Fear creeps into my voice, "You're not saying she's a..."

"That is exactly what I am saying."

"How do you know" my voice is quivering, I can feel goose bumps rise along my skin.

"Gosh Ry, look at the signs; her powers, her aura, her intelligence, even her way of speaking."

"Abigail, she is not aware" I reply trying to smooth my voice.

"She doesn't" her voice squeeks.

I shake my head then realize I am talking on the phone, silently cursing my self I answer "No she doesn't"

"That means she probably has not even fully matured, this is bad Ry if she is this powerful so young, imagine what she will be like when she turns and she has no idea how to control it." Turning was the term for when a supernatural being finished developing.

"Abby, how do you know her?"

"My team started tracking her after Germany, there was another hunter's group there but I am not sure who but they are incredibly violent."

"Okay Abby, Good bye"

"Bye Ry and be careful"

I turned my phone off after hanging up on her. Her words bouncing in my head. I was screwed, the entire world could be screwed. All because of one girl. I decided not to tell her. If she shows signs of turning then I will but up and till then I will keep her hidden and protected, hopefully that will not happen for a long time.
