Aléde's POV

I stared at myself in the mirror. My appearance really had changed but not too much to be noticed. My hair was darker, it was getting harder to see the red in it, I was paler which was a feat in itself and lastly my pupils were slightly slanted. I'm beginning to look less and less human. I sigh, this was bad. I'm drawing too much attention to my self, maybe I should think about moving.

knock

"Come in" I said. Ry came in, what a surprise.

"Aléde, I need you to tell me what happened." He said blankly.

I shook my head as the memories creeped in. I nearly hurt her. I can't believe how monstrous I had acted.

"Aléde ? are you alright?" I nodded to his question even though we both knew it was a lie.

"I - I uh just got so mad when that thing attacked her and I couldn't stop it, I just felt so much hatred and rage. All I could think about was destruction " I mumbled half heartedly.

He looked at me wide-eyed. He mumbled something about excusing himself and having to do some work. Great, I sighed, I even managed to scare off the one friend I've ever made. What's happening and why did my necklace not even react to try keep the power in. Why did it feel so good harming that thing at the time. So many questions swam around my head and not necessarily good ones. Glancing at the clock I see this day still has a long way to go.

"Great" I murmured sarcastically before drifting off into a nap.

Ry's POV

This is bad. This is very bad. Whatever Aléde is it's dangerous and not good news at all. Hell she doesn't even look human anymore. It's tiny changes but to me it's noticeable. The fact that this creature which even Cora could not defeat which is scary as Cora is one of the most powerful people that I know of. Whoever sent the creature is not giving up that's for sure.

I should probably check up on Cora. I walk over to the lounge where Cora is sitting staring blankly ahead of her.

"Cora, are you alright?" I asked tentatively. She glanced up at me her eyes clouded over. She slowly nodded.

Cora mumbled something.

"sorry?" I asked.

She looked up at me her eyes now brimming with tears.

"I kissed her" she mumbled, "it was the only way but it felt good. Why did it feel good?"

I sucked in a breathe. While this might seem normal for others and not that big of a problem, Cora was part of the fae. The fae were an ancient powerful race where they believed that same gender love was not possible and not even heard of. I'm pretty sure there has been homosexual faeries but probably didn't know themselves or kept it a secret. The fae were also weird in the sense that you may live with the same gender or sleep with the same gender but no romantic feelings are possible with the same gender. It could be that was how they are made up of but I doubt that.

"Don't worry, I'm sure Aléde doesn't hate you or will judge you for it. I'm sure she's actually grateful that you stopped her from her near rampage."

Cora's eyes started to clear. She smiled tentatively.

"Do you think she might have liked it." She asks me. Now to be honest, I have no idea if Alede even swung that way and all her aura showed was fear and emptiness.

"Maybe" I told her. She gave a small smile at that. At least I could help Cora.

"Now Cora, I know you are still pretty nervous but I need you to tell me what happened."

She took in a breathe and started to shake

"you don't have to tell me right now," I assured her.

"No, You need this information to help her right?" I nodded at her question.

Cora took in a shaky breathe,"Al and I were just chatting until this large noise came from outside. I told her to stay inside while I investigate but she wouldn't listen and followed me anyway. Outside was this enormous large creature. It looked like Aragog from Harry Potter had a child with The Thing from The Fantastic Four. As soon as we appeared it tried to get to Al. I fought the beast to stop that from happening. The fight was going okay until it caught my leg. My healing would have fixed it in ten minutes but the sight must have gotten to Al. Her eyes started glowing red and a cruel smirk went on to her face. With one hand she destroyed the monster. The air around her was cold and I've never felt so much evil radiate from one person. She turned to me and her eyes seemed to analyze me. She helped me up and spoke. Her voice was no longer shaky and uncertain. It was like another person was inhabiting her body but it was still her in a sense, she still knew who I was. She wanted to destroy mor things but I telled her to stop and that's when she tried to , I'm not sure here but she wasn't trying to kill me, more like get me out of her way."

Cora finished her story. What is happening. Nothing like this happened until Alede was born and only ancient races that have been long forgotten would have this type of power. It seems that whenever Aléde is aware of what her power is doing she is evil and cold but other times it's just her unconscious body with destruction and power circulating around her.

I gave Cora a hug. I should have never brought her into this. If the fae royal family heard of this, Aléde would have numerous amounts of people trying to kill her. These people probably won't succeed but that will only cause the whole supernatural community to get involved.

"Cora, we need to keep a closer eye on Aléde and we need to make sure that she doesn't interact with people as much. Her powers are getting stronger every second and it seems her suppressor is no longer working." I tell Cora. She just nods.

Aléde's POV

I did not mean to eavesdrop. But when you hear people say your name , you just have to tune into their conversation. I only got the end bits. Ry  and Cora thinks I am dangerous and not to be trusted. I guess that is true, but it still hurts to hear that the people I trust do not trust me.

I guess my suppressor would be this necklace. I guess that is why it did not glow. I unlatch it and walk towards the window where I hurl it as far away from me as possible. As soon as the necklace was out of sight I could feel my body start to burn. My head was pounding and my skin felt like it was being eaten by flames. I let loose a scream before collapsing unconscious.
