Chapter 34

   Katlyn couldn't decide. She loved Kendall more than her own mother and sister, but Johnny would surely prefer to live with his dad. Katlyn liked his dad too, she just didn't want to leave Kendall. Plus, the bunk beds were too small to fit two animals in. Katlyn sighed.
   Johnny walked into their bedroom, seeing that Katlyn wasn't packing up.
   "I'm not sure I want to leave this place, Johnny. I want you to be happy, but I don't want to leave Kendall," she said sadly.
   "I'm happy as long as I'm with you," Johnny said.
   "I want you to be with your dad, but I want to be able to be with Kendall. Ugh! I don't know what to do," she put her head in her hands.
   She could feel the bed shake when Johnny sat next to her. He put an arm around her and pulled her closer so she leaves on his chest.
   "It's okay Katlyn. We can stay here, I'm not sure I want to live with my dad anyway," he said.
   "Really?" Katlyn asked
   "Yes, really. Imagine him always doing checks to make sure we aren't doing anything he doesn't want us to," Johnny said, and laughed a bit.
   "Yeah, that'd be weird," Katlyn said and laughed too, wiping her eyes. Johnny started singing the 2nd verse of "All of Me"

   Katlyn smiled, she looked up at Johnny and he kissed her, she kissed back, and leaned on his shoulder. Johnny just always knew how to make it better.
