Okay. Even closer now. I didn't think this could be possible. Am I dreaming?
"Ah, so that's where my guitar pick got to." he chuckled.
His voice was so nice and soothing. I can't believe he is actually talking to me. What is happening right now?
"Sorry...I didn't mean to...here have it back, I'm sorry." I stutter.
Really... Is that the best I can do? I thought I was better than this. I shouldn't be allowed to talk.
He laughed.
"No it's cool darling, keep it. I did throw it your way on purpose." he said.
"My ticket!" I say. "Josh, please may you sign my ticket?" I asked politely.
He just nodded as I handed him mine and Nicole's ticket. Well, he wasn't exactly going to say no.
As he signed one of the tickets, he looked up at me.
"I've never seen you at one of our gigs before, is this your first time seeing us?" he asked.
"Yeah... It's my first concert ever." I nervously replied.
He smiled as he handed me the first signed ticket. It was so adorable. I still can't believe this is my life right now.
"Well, I feel honoured then. Did you have a good time?" he grinned.
"I'm going to remember this for the rest of my life." I stated.
He handed me the other signed ticket before he began to walk away.
"WAIT!" I shouted.
Why did I do that? Why have I just shouted at Josh like that? Help me. Way to ruin the moment Courtney.
"What is it?" he asked politely, giving me a cheeky grin.
Before I could reply with something incredibly stupid, Nicole comes back holding a t-shirt.
"OH MY GOD HI JOSH!" She screamed.
"Hello did you enjoy the sho..."
Nicole interrupted Josh.
"LET'S ALL TAKE A SELFIE" said Nicole, at the top of her voice.
The three of us gathered around Nicole's phone for the selfie. I had butterflies in my stomach but I don't know why.
Josh put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer into him. His hand felt so warm against the sides of my body.
"You have to get a bit closer than that." he laughed.
Nicole took three or four pictures probably to capture 'the perfect one' or whatever she says.
"So what's your names by the way?" Josh asked.
"I'm Courtney and that's Nicole" I said pointing to Nic who was too busy checking the selfies on her phone.
"It was a pleasure to meet you both" he added.
I gave a little a sigh of relief. That could have actually gone so much worse considering it's me.
Josh came a bit closer and wrapped both arms around my neck and gave me a little squeeze before walking away again.
This time, he actually does walk away.
Nicole came up to my face.
"Come on, time to find the other three!!" she shrieked pulling my arm.
