Those Angel Eyes

Part 2 - The Venue

My parents bought me 2 tickets so I didn't have to go to the concert on my own.
Since I discovered The Strypes, there was only one person I could take with me. My best friend, Nicole. The only person who likes all the same bands as me. Yes, that was my fault.

I couldn't wait to tell her about the tickets.
The first thing I did was send her a quick text.

*** Hey Nic, guess what?!? I got 2 tickets to see The Strypes on Saturday. You up for it?? xxx ***

An instant reply.
*** YAAAASSSSS, Evan my sunshine child I am readyyyy!!! ***

I may only be 16 but I've waited an entire lifetime to attend a concert. Words cannot describe how excited I am. My first concert. Well, my mum took me to see Take That in 2010 but that doesn't count. It doesn't.

There was a loud knock on the door. Instantly, I sprint through the entire house to answer it. The most exercise I've probably done ever.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHH" Nicole screamed. She had no words, that's how excited she was.
"Come on! I want to get their early to secure a place at the front." I cheered.

We made our way to the venue in London. Not to go on about buses but oh my god why are they never on time?
"We're first in the queue!!!" I shrieked.
"Just a couple of hours and we'll be inside glancing up at our favs" Nicole added.

We were so psyched and happy, those couple of hours seemed to fly by. We had spent so much time talking to each other about The Strypes, we completely forgot we were waiting to go inside the venue.

Someone who worked for the venue came out and checked our tickets and we had our bags checked. Now, it was time.
I grabbed Nicole by the arm and at the same time, she grabbed mine. We gave each other this look. Then, we raced our way through the venue until we reached the barriers. We were right at the very front, looking up at the stage.

Soon enough, Ross, Pete, Josh and Evan would be standing before our very eyes.

I can't remember the last time I felt this excited.
