Harry's Point of View
"So you think you'll be okay tomorrow night?"
I laughed at Niall's proposal, "Yeah, perfect." I'm already nervous to be performing in front of at least a hundred people--that's how many Ada said is coming so far--and I've had to work with her the whole week, trying not to make a fool out of myself. She's completely right; I have no right to barge in and try to tell her how I feel. It does suck but I need to respect her feelings too.
"Did she say anyone was coming to watch us?"
"Umm, she talked to someone but he said to send a tape and he'll think about it."
I laughed, "Stupid producers. They're missing out."
Niall and I arrived at the club first--other than Ada. She's been here everyday after school making things and getting everything together. She even took off of work for this week and left school early. I don't know how but Niall and I are actually becoming really good friends. Is that possible? What a weird situation.
"Hey Ada."
"Hey guys" she said without turning her attention to us. Whatever she's doing she's pretty focused on. And looking extremely hot today.
"You realize it's about -1 celcius outside."
Ada gave Niall her famous rolling of the eyes, "I know stupid. My sweatpants are over there." She sat in her short pink shorts and cute teal, polka dot socks. El gave those to her for Christmas. Whenever she wears tank tops I can't help but stare for as long as I can without someone noticing. She always shows a bit of skin. That perfect skin.
"You guys are early, do you want to help move some speakers for me? Oakley just went out to grab snacks for everyone."
"Yeah, no problem. Oh, and we have a name." Ada stopped and looked at me; waiting for the name. I don't know why but I felt like I needed her approval. "It's One Direction. We all thought it would sound really cool."
"Yeah and Harry came up with it. I love it."
"It sounds great!" It almost looked like she was ready to give me a hug but stopped herself. I adjusted my bandanna, pretending I didn't notice. "I think you should introduce the band as One Direction tomorrow night. We'll practice today, don't worry it'll be fun."
We walked to the storage room to grab some speakers. She's much stronger than I thought. She's also really tone; why hadn't I noticed this before?
"Everyone was asking why the fliers said No Name Yet. I thought it was funny but I guess people are saying that's what you're called." She giggled and set one of the speakers down.
Soon the rest of the guys showed up along with Oakley, El, Sarah, Franky, and Luke. They would all be helping tomorrow night.
"Okay troops! Let's start from the beginning!" Ada stood in front of us like the days before as we sat on the edge of the stage. She always had something new to say.
"I think we pretty much know all of the steps down and an outline of what everyone is going to say so we need to do that one more time. After that we're going to do a full on practice with the clothes your going to wear and everything. You brought all of the clothes, right Zayn?"
"Yes ma'am." He saluted Ada and she laughed. This was so much fun for her. I never really new what she loved to do. She plays guitar and writes but I've never seen her so happy.
"So Niall, Liam, Harry, Louis and Zayn--go ahead and stand backstage. Dan and Josh head to your instruments. Have you figured out the lights out yet Sarah?"
