Popular Rule two : sit with the same people always

   I walk into the cafeteria and start toward my regular spot with the foot ball team. I always sit in the same spot it prevents others from getting to know me and keeps the amount of people who talk to me down to a minimum. I walk over to the team only to find that they are all standing about a tables distance away from the table we all sit at. I walk toward them and call my team to look at me "somebody explain why we are all standing here instead of eating at our table" one of the freshmen on the team answers " there are two girls sitting at our table and none of us want to shoo them away because they're totally hot" my line backer Thomas continues to explain "we all know who Lizzy is but non of us have seen the girl sitting next to her"
I look at them like they are all idiots. "Did it ever occurs to you maybe you should just go sit with them and try talking?"
With that I walk toward the table and sit next to Lizzy the team follows my lead Thomas taking the seat next to the girl. Hold on they're talking about the girl I sit next to in maths!? How have they not seen her around before? Wow she must blend in even more then u thought she could.
I smirk and wait for Thomas to make a complete fool out of himself Bc he still thinks she's new.
I watch Thomas look at the girl and introduce himself
" hi I'm Thomas and who might you be?"
She looks up a little aggravated and quickly hides it behind a smile
"I'm karma but people call me Kara" she states and takes a bite of her fries.  Jet
cuts in "You have such a lovely name karma how come I haven't seen you around before are you new?"
This is what I was waiting for one of them to ask her if she's new
This is gonna be good bet she'll get pissed  or annoyed and leave or maybe she'll just yell at him.
She laughs "no I'm not new I've been going to this school since grade 10 and I went to your guys middle school before that."
She says al that while smiling
Taking another bite of fries. Going against everything I thought she stayed normal.
She didn't even look the slightest annoyed that he didn't know who she was or that he didn't know they've been going to school together since 7th grade.
Thomas continues to hit on her
"No there's no way we've been going to school together for that long I would have noticed a pretty girl like you"
Her face tints pink obviously not used to compliments. Justin decides to pitch in "yah I'm sure we all would have noticed if someone as beautiful as you went to school with us, right boys" everybody on the team nods and she turns bright red
"UmmIhavetogo!"
She says very very quickly leaving her fries on the table and us all very confused. Lizzy sighs loudly and apologizes on her behalf saying she doesn't do people or attention very well. Thomas turns to me
"You didn't talk all that much while she was here?"
No I didn't because I know she doesn't like people or talking to them i want to say but instead I answer simply
"Nope"
Thomas and Jet give each other a look then they look at me narrowing their eyes.
"Why not?" Jet prods
"Didn't want to" I responded
Ross speaks for the first time only he more like yells
"you didn't want to talk to the hot girl with purple eyes?"
The four of them exchange looks
And symotaniously  say
"You're curious"
It still freaks me out how they can do that it's not like they're all siblings or anything.
Jet elaborates
"You looked bored like you knew all that already. You only listened for her name and to see if she'd get annoyed right"
I don't have time to respond because Ross  continues "this is another one of those times when you knew who the person was when the rest of us didn't" Thomas takes over
"She's in one of your classes? Which means judging by the board look on your face and the prediction of annoyance,"
They all say
"You've been analyzing her!"
Ok when they put it that way it sounds creepy.
They got me
"Ok I haven't been analyzing her that's creepy, I just noticed she's not like the other girls she's weird."
They look at me horrified
"you can't call someone weird that's rude!" Thomas screams
I sigh and give up
Getting up I walk out of the cafeteria and walk toward the library hoping to find some peace and quiet.
