Popular rule 3:keep your distance
I get to the library so I could do some thinking. The boys know me too well it's scary but I've spent over 5 years with them what do you expect? I've known Thomas the longest since pre K we met on the swing set I told him to shut up and we were immediately best friends and have been ever since. I've known Jet for 3 years I met him through Thomas In grade 10 it took me some time to warm up to him but after a year we were good friends, I met Justin only recently at the end of last year he doesn't talk much but when he does it's loud and proud he still doesn't know some stuff about us but we don't know stuff about him either so I guess it's even. I don't know what I'd do without my boys probably be a little less approachable. I'm thinking this as I sit on the floor in an isle of the library I'm reading a superman comic. Yes don't judge I like superman I'm a closet geek I also like dr who so sue me. Suddenly I hear someone walking toward me. I slide the comic under the shelf so I don't ruin my reputation. I turn to ward the sound of steps and wait. Karma walks down the isle her arms full of books she's running one of her hands down the spines of the books on the shelfs I don't think she sees me which is a good thing. That is until she trips over my legs. Her books go flying everywhere and she lands across my lap I laugh and without even thinking I blurt out "If you wanted me that badly you could have just said so"
Immediately I regret it her face turns toward me and she looks shocked to say the least she looks at me her eye carry something something I can't quite place, she crawls off of me sitting in the ground by my feet. her gaze doesn't waver she doesn't blink
I turn player mode smirking I ask "like what you see? A picture will last longer." Her eyes go wide and her face turn bright red and she ducks behind her hair effectively hiding her face from my view. Now she's scrambling to pick up all the books she dropped and i move to help I realize there's one next to the comic I hid. I take it out and study the cover, "Romeo and Juliet" the star crossed lovers. I'm confused as to why she would want to read this we are going to be reading this for English this year so why? My mouth speaks before my mind can stop it "You know we read this for English this year right you should just wait." Her head shoots up suddenly she says something barely above a whisper "I've read it four times now" I turn form studying the cover to her face. This isn't a book most people would read more then once it's a play write it's nothing interesting."why?"
She stutters "l-l umm" she snatched the book from my hand faster then you could say "bye bye birdie" and takes off toward the desk I follow behind her to curious to leave her alone. When she gets to the desk the librarian greets her by name and asks her how her days going. It looks like she comes here a lot. The librarian picks up Romeo and Juliet
"Honey again, really. No matter how many times you read it it'll always be the same story with the same characters and they'll always do the same thing."
Kara laughs "of course that's why books are perfect they never change." She smiles at the nice lady and walks out the door. I still follow behind her. We get outside and she turns to me "why are you following me?"
"Pfft me follow you not happening"
Rolling her eyes she starts walking away again. Suddenly she's on the ground her books everywhere once again. I swear that girl is a klutz.
