My next class passed in a blur of  monotonous lectures and unnecessary interruptions. I found myself looking forward to lunch. I ended up watching the agonizingly slow movements of the clock instead of the teacher. My intrigue built up with each tick and when the bell rang I sprung out of my chair and made a path straight to the door. I was once again submerged into the waves of students dispersing from classrooms. I was in sight of the lunch tables when an arm pulled me back. I turned to see no one else but Adam, his hair was messier than before, gold pieces scattered. Somehow I figured this was how his hair looked most of the time, and I smiled, it suited him.
"We sit outside," he then continued to tug me out the door and around to a patch of grass,"Hey guys! Meet Delilah."
I looked at him strangely,"I never told you my name?"
"No, but we did take roll in first period," the corner of his mouth pulled up in mirth.
I made an O with my mouth and blushed as he chuckled. I glanced around to see that none of his friends had really moved since he talked.
Adam then made an awkward noise and scratched his head,"Well, I guess I'll just introduce you to them," he nodded his head towards two girls talking, "That's Belle and Eloise."
I followed his movements where I saw two girls sitting together that I could only describe as opposites. Belle had long, almost black, waves cascading down to the middle of her back, whereas Eloise had straight blonde hair that cut off just below her chin.
"The girl sleeping is Rachel," he continued and I quickly spotted a girl with light brown hair wrapped up in a blanket. I was always confused by people who could sleep anywhere, apparently she was one of them,"And last but not least the boys; Vincent and Logan. Vincent had dark hair with a lip and eyebrow piercing, he was intimidating. Logan had auburn hair that would go nicely with fall and warm tea.
"We are all hanging out tonight, at Crown Park, you should come" Adam's eyes looked anywhere but my face.
I bit my lip, "What time?"
He suddenly was able to look at my face again, "7:00".

"Hey mom I'm home!" I shouted as my mother walked through the door.
A mane of firey hair imurges from around the corner, "My love bug has returned!", she cries while pulling me into a bear hug. My mom then begins to stroke my hair tenderly.
"I'm not a dog you know."
"I birthed you missy, you're whatever I want you to be", she replies laughing.
My mom is my rock. She is the only one I know I can always count on and talk to about anything.
"Heyyy soo, I met some new friends and they invited me to go to Crown Park, can I?", I gave the classic puppy dog face, although I doubted I needed it.
"I'd say it's already 6:15, you better get a move on," she said smiling knowingly.
I squeeled and rushed to my room. I was going to wear something cute..... But then it got cold. So now, clearly, the only option was a sweatshirt and jeans. I turned to look in the mirror, examining myself. My long hair resembled my mother's, but not quite as unruly. My brown eyes blinked back at me and I looked down at the outfit. Hey, it was the weather not me. Excited, I ran out the door calling a goodbye to my mom.
I then realized I had no idea where I was going, thank god for phones and Google map. I tried not to get frightened as the sun continued to sink lower in the sky. I finally came to a stone that had the words 'Crown Park' carved into them. I looked further into the trees and I didn't see anyone, now I am worried.
I decided to continue, the dark trees loomed over my head and I thought I could almost hear footsteps. "Hello? Adam?" I shouted out uneasily. I'd had enough, it was dark and I was alone, I was going back. Turning around, someone grabbed my arm, and I screamed. I expected to be dragged off or murdered on the spot, what I did not expect was to hear laughing and see the face of a semi-guilty looking Adam.
