Broken crowns fall
Who will catch them, or will they never be found?The heat from the wolves cast a long shadow of red over her fox-like profile. Quinta looked like she was swimming in blood.
Lucifer didn't look much better. His whole body was a firestorm, and I was convinced that not one part of him remained wolf.
My nostrils flared at the acrid smell of smoke. The very scent of the dark grey steam annihilated the room. It snuck into every crevice, nook and cranny.
"I don't want to die," Quinta squeaked. Her head was low, and her figure sank into the shadowy depths of the corner.
"It isn't the way you expected it to be, is it?" I said, watching her quivering tail.
The wolves suddenly whimpered, abandoning their death-flames, to a more suitable position of cowering on the floor in their grey (not on fire) wolf pelts.
"Now, that's more like it," I said, but my voice was shaking violently. I don't like wolves, and I very,very much dislike fire. What made them suddenly kneel to my commands? It didn't take me long to notice the other presence in the room.
Quinta had terror evident in her eyes. Without hesitation, she crawled into her knees and grovelled at the floor. "My Queen."
Flavia, a picturesque, fiery goddess, immersed behind me. She reminded me of Tauri, somehow. But an angrier, taller, blonde version.
Flavia was draped in a blood-red gown, her yellowed hair flowed all the way down to her hips. In what she was wearing, I doubt she would even manage to squeeze into my dorm at the academy.
Her nose was rather slim, and had a slight bump. Her skin was pale, as white as a ghost. I shivered.
This is a wip!!! Soz (;
