"Fake" Date

"Hey boss there's someone at the door that wants to talk to you" Niall said in his Irish accent. "Are they delivery" I asked. "No it's a young lady says she knows you" he said walking away. I made my way to the entrance and could only see their back. "Can I help you" I asked in a friendly tone. "Nope just looking for you" she said before turning around. "Oh my god what are you doing here" I said hugging my good friend. "Well I missed my bestfriend and I couldn't miss the grand opening. Also I have a gig here" she said hugging me back. "Thanks" I said sarcastically. "it's been a stressful morning" I added.

Earlier today
"My my my you are good looking" I said to myself in the mirror. I had to be up by 1 this morning so I woke up an hour earlier to be able to get ready. "Is that Ryan gosling. No it-" "Oliver" Oliver said standing at the doorway. "Don't judge" I said fixing my tie. "We are totally leaving with someone tonight" he said walking out. I walked into my kitchen where I saw Oliver eating a bowl of cereal. "Okay so they need our help setting up for tonight" Oliver said. "Okay with what exactly" I said confused. "They need us to pick some stuff up like ice drinks and snacks" he said drinking the milk in the bowl. "I thought we had people to do that" I said putting on my shoes. "Yeah well they canceled so now we have to pick it up ourselves" Oliver said. I grabbed my keys and drove to the place. Let me tell you loading things is already hard, but doing it while wearing tuxs is 10x harder. It didn't make it easier consider we had to do multiple rounds since our cars weren't that big but eventually we go everything there.

. "Hey team meeting everyone" I called throughout the closed restaurant. "Pep talk. This is what we've been waiting for. What we've been planning since about a week." I said and they laughed. "Now there's gonna be a lot of people here and we have to make sure they leave here with a smile on their face so they could come back and invite their friends. "Now chefs go start cooking, waiters wait" I said laughing. "You get it cause you have to wait til people show and your wait-never mind. And bartender no drinking on the job" I said as they went to their stations.

"You're busy I'll stop by later" She suggested. "No it's okay I have to wait til the girls are ready so I have free time from now til five" I said showing her my wrist with a watch on it. "So what's new" she asked. "Well I quit my job, metagirl, and now I'm opening this restaurant" I said. "Wait what was the thing you you said before the restaurant" she asked with a smirk. "I quit my job at the polic-" "after that" she said smiling sitting up ready to hear the details. "Well I meet someone" I said smiling.

"Last time I checked you were the guy who wasn't going to be tied down" she said making fun of me. "That was the college y/n talking" I said laughing remembering that I would constantly say no girl would ever tie me down. "What's her name" she asked. "Camila. I really like her and shes my... date tonight" I said a bit hesitant. "But?" She questioned. "She's Dinah's friend" "and" she said confused. "Dinahs a friend of mine and ally's but she doesn't like me dating her friends and I'm not really sure how I'm going to tell her that we're seeing each other. And she's Camila's best friend" I said.

"How long has this been going on" she asked. "About a month" I said thinking. "And who knows" "My sister and Lauren just found out" I said. "Well the last thing you want to do is be the reason their friendship ends. Also tell her before she's the only one that doesn't know because it'll be worse on you and her. Handle it sooner than later Hernandez" she said eating a granola bar. "Are you hungry I could have them make you something. "I'm starving after an 8 hour flight. And that airplane food wasn't any better" she said. "You could've easily asked" I said calling over a waiter. "I didn't want to be rude" she said.

"Can I get some spaghetti and a pepsi" she told the waiter I called over. "But enough about me how's traveling the world" I asked. "It's great I've been to so many places and it's beautiful. At least the parts humans haven't been able to touch" she said. "That's the Lucy I know"
