Quinn-
He walked into the skate shop Sunday morning half an hour late, but lucky for him, his boss Jaime liked him so there was no consequence for his tardiness. "Hey Quinn, I'm gonna be working the register at the skate counter today, can you work the one on the music side?" The voice came from the back room as Jaime walked out with a box of Converse in his right hand, a can of Monster in his left. He responded in a sarcastic but playful voice "Sure no problem, anything for you , your highness." Jaime gave him a sassy look, "okay keep talking and see who gets their pay cut an hour for being late you lazy little shit." Quinn wore a smirk on his face and let out a small laugh. He walked to the back room, put his bag on the table and opened the fridge. Emerging with five cans of Monster and a bag of powdered donuts he walked out the room and went to the music section of the shop. He cracked open the can of Monster and started chugging it. Once he finished one can, he put a Blink 182 record o the turntable. Just then Jaime yelled from the other side of the shop.
Alex-
The sun was shining in her eyes as she walked down the sidewalk. Today she planned on buying a whole crap ton of albums and maybe getting her first board. She had her eye on a really unique Revive board that had a bunch of red and black paint splatters. She pulled open the door of the skate shop. Immediately her ears were blasted by Blink 182. Punk wasn't her favorite genre of music, but it was still good. Looking to the left she saw a tall kid standing behind the music counter, guzzling down a can of Monster. He looked fifteen, just the same age as her. She heard a voice come from the right side of the store, by the skateboards, it was the owner of the shop, he looked to be in his mid-twenties. He was calling to the tall kid by the music. "Hey Quinn, change the tracks, I wanna listen to Green Day." This, Quinn kid, looked surprised, like he wasn't expecting that."I was expecting you to say Sum 41 or the Ramones, Jaime. Which album? And I swear if you say Shenanigans I'll jump over this counter and poke you in the eyes with my fists. You know damn well that I will." She must've let out a little giggle because Quinn noticed that she was standing at the door.
Quinn-
He heard a quiet giggle come from the door. As he turned his head he saw a girl, standing quietly at the entrance. He nervously choked out his words."Oh shit, hi, excuse the conversation my boss and I were having, can I help you with anything?" He was nervous, not only because he just threatened his boss in front of a customer, and he swore, twice. But because this girl was insanely attractive. He had to try to keep his composure as she spoke up."It's fine, and yes actually, I came here for a few vinyls and CD's." Her voice was soft , but she sounded as nervous as Quinn was. Again he nervously spat his words out,"oh sick, we have a lot of music just say a rock genre and we most likely have it, we mostly carry punk though, if you're into that." Jaime shouted out,"Quinn, change the damn tracks will ya, I want to listen to Insomniac. And loosen up, you look and sound nervous as hell, just give the girl her music music and get on with it." Quinn quickly responded with,"whatever you say, douche king." Alex finally spoke up."Punk is a good genre, but I'm new to it, maybe you could suggest a few artists?" And once again, Jaime came up laughing his head off, "girl you just made a huge ass mistake, once you ask Quinn about punk there's no going back! Brace yourself for a five hour Sum 41 lecture!"
Alex-
She didn't mind if she got a long lecture about a certain band, she just wanted to hear the kid at the counter talk, she liked his voice and they way his mouth moved every time he spoke. The purpose of her visit to the shop had changed. Now instead of buying vinyls, she was more interested in Quinn. Quinn stood for a second before responding, "okay well, we do have quite a few different punk artists, if you want you can come behind the counter and look around." She quickly took him up on that offer, any chance to get closer to him was a chance that she was willing to take. She barely even knows this guy and she already like him. And she thinks he's super cute."So um, where's the punk section?" Those were the only words she managed to say. "It's right over here, just follow me." He walked behind a huge shelf and Alex followed. "So there's this ladder that slides on the shelf since they're so tall. Restocking this is always a bitch of a task, but someone's gotta do it. Anyways, I can climb up there and get a few albums I think you might like, or you could get up there and see for yourself." Without hesitation she started up the ladder. The shelf was at least 15 or 20 feet tall. The store looked so small from the outside. It kind of reminded her of the TARDIS from Doctor Who,'it's bigger on the inside.' She made it to the very top of the shelf and looked at the albums, there was so many, from various artists like Sum 41, Green Day, Bad Religion, and Taking Back Sunday. She saw a Green Day album that looked really interesting so she reached her arm out to grab it. It was just out of her reach so she leaned over to try to grab it. Her foot slipped and she lost her balance, eventually falling off the ladder.
