If you want people to read your book you have to write it well. If you’re going to write something like this: “b4 that he called me and we talked about our relationship and he broke up with me and OMG he’s so ugh… Then l8r he said he wanted to date me again oh and btw he’s a jerk.” I WILL KILL YOU WHILE YOU’RE SLEEPING. Okay I’m just kidding XD Maybe…
Well, there’s a huge difference between writing a story and writing a text message.
You have to write with good grammar. You can’t make mistakes. You don’t know how to write a word? Change it to a synonym.
To write well there are 3 rules:
1-Don’t write abbreviations.
DO NOT USE “2day”; “l8r”; “bbl”; “gr8”; “som1”; “OMG” OR ANY OF THOSE ABBREVIATIONS YOU TYPE WHILE TEXTING A FRIEND.
2-Be careful with what you write
“Then” it’s not the same thing as “than”
“your” it’s not the same thing as “you’re”
“this”
not “dis”
“my”
not “mah”
“they”
not “dey”
“the”
not “da”
3-Be careful with punctuation
Punctuation is important. You can’t just write a sentence like this: “I came home and then I had lunch and I did my homework, I fed the cat and I played basketball and then I took a shower.”
Full stops are important. Commas are important. Punctuation is important.
