• Harry's POV •

{many years later}

I held Zoe's small toddler like hand as I walked to the hospital - a regular visit for us.

"How are you today Mr Lewis?" A familiar nurse that we knew asked as we entered the hospital doors.

"Not great," Harry admitted, trying to get on with his day as usual.

"She's on her final hours," A small, blonde haired nurse said with a sympathetic tone to her voice causing me to nod.

A tear rolled down my cheek to see the sight behind the curtain. Hairless. Hooked up to a heart monitor. My wife.

"Don't cry Harry," Emily said in her now weak voice.

Harry set the flowers beside her on a small bedside cabinet along with all the other cards, presents and flowers.

"I love you, Emily, please don't leave me in this world," Harry admitted, sobbing with each and every word he said.

And within the small space of a few hours, she was gone.
