Logan Lerman as Grayson Jones

I hope you enjoy reading Grayson & Piper's love story just as much as I enjoyed writing it. 🌹
-----------------------------------------
Grayson Jones and Piper Montgomery are now all grown up and Grayson's love for her only grew as the years passed. Middle school, and high school were torture for Grayson as he had to watch the girl he was madly in love with date other guys. Only for her to end up heartbroken each and every time. His jaw would clench as he would hold her against him as she cried. "Why can't I ever be good enough?" She would ask looking up at him, wide grey eyes filled with tears. Grayson's first instinct was to tell her that he's in love with her and that she has always been enough for him. He would bite his tongue each and every time and instead tell her that she just hasn't met the right guy yet. That one day she's going to look into someone's eyes and just know that they are meant to be.
Little did Grayson know that Piper was just as hopelessly, unconditionally, and irrevocably in love with him too. Piper's boyfriends were just a distraction from what she felt for her best friend. She believed that he never saw her as more than just a little sister. She had hoped that she would come to care for any of the guys she would date just as much as she cared for her best friend. Her heart would lurch to the bottom of her stomach as she would watch Grayson flirt and take out other girls. The only comfort Piper ever really had, besides having the privilege of being his best friend, was that Grayson never paid Brittney Wilson any attention.
Brittney Wilson, to this day, hated Piper. For as long as Piper could remember Brittney would always try to ruin Piper's day. She never knew why until Brittney stormed up to her and demanded that she stay away from Grayson. Piper had stared at her before laughing in her face. She slammed her locker shut and just as quickly as she started laughing she quit. With a straight face she stood up straighter and looked Brittney dead in the eyes. "No one, not even wanna be princesses like you, could ever separate me from Grayson. Do I make myself clear?" She then whirled around and stormed to class.
This meant war. At least in Piper's eyes it did considering Brittney never stopped trying to get with Grayson. The girl was crazy about him, so much so that she even followed him to college. Piper was tired of the girl and tired of waiting for Grayson to make things official between them. Piper wasn't stupid, in the middle of their senior year, she slowly started to notice the small couple like things Grayson would do for her. She was patient and bide her time, knowing that Grayson would one day confess that he liked her as much as she did. The end of senior year passed, as well as their first year of college. Piper, at this point was tired of waiting.
Until finally one day Grayson decided to take a leap of faith and ask Piper to be his girlfriend. She had laughed and jokingly stated that it was about time he asked. "I swear I was only going to give you another week to ask before I decided to make the first move myself." She told him as they laid on the blanket he had laid out for them to stargaze. Grayson and Piper were happy and in love. Everyone at campus could see how happy they made each other. Everyone but Britney it seemed. Even a year later she would still glare and make rude retorts every time they walked by.
"You think the girl would give up after constantly getting rejected for years." Piper had told Grayson as she plopped down beside him in the lunchroom. "I'm tired of her always trying to separate us. Why did she have to become obsessed with you out of all people?" She said as she stabbed her salad with fork. Grayson chuckled and reached for her hand, lightly rubbing small circles into it. He brought her hand up to kiss her knuckles. "Ignore her. My heart belongs to you. Not her. You have nothing to worry about. I could try talking to her, but we both know that would only encourage her."
Piper sighed and slightly leaned into his touch. Grayson's touch had always had the ability to calm her down. She felt safe and protected at his side. "I know. I just wish she could somehow get it through her thick skull that you and her are never going to happen. Especially since I'm in the picture." "Exactly. She doesn't stand a chance against you." Grayson said putting his arm around her and placing a kiss on the side of her head.
Piper and Grayson never expected for Britney to hear their words and they certainly didn't expect for her to take them seriously. Britney strutted out of the lunchroom, a smirk clear as day on her face. She walked with a purpose and anyone who saw her warily stood out of her way. As she passed by people turned to give each other wary glances. Everyone knew of Britney's unhealthy obsession of Grayson. They never understood how one girl can't understand the simple meaning of a no. They all mock her behind her back since they all know what exactly she's capable of when she's angry. Her relationship between Piper was more than enough proof. The Ice Queen was back and more determined than ever. No one knew what she was up too, but they all felt it. A sense of dread, fear, and most importantly-- pain.
Back in the lunchroom Grayson felt the sudden shift as well. Instinctively he pulled Piper closer to him as if to shield her. From what he's not entirely sure, but deep down he knows something is wrong. "Are you okay?" Piper asked worriedly, all traces of Britney long gone. Grayson cleared his throat and faked a smile. "Yeah. Everything's fine."
