Angelique Boyer as AphroditeI hope you enjoying reading Grayson & Piper's love story just as much as I enjoyed writing it. 🌹

Britney smiled slightly as she watched Grayson run towards his beloved sunshine. Britney felt a sense of satisfaction as Piper fell to the ground with a thud. She watched as Grayson practically threw himself down beside her. "Piper? Sunshine? Please wake up." He pleaded as he lightly slapped her cheek. "Someone call an ambulance!" He yelled out towards no one in particular. "No. No. No. Piper? Can you hear me?" Grayson asked her once again, his hands hovering over her, as if he wasn't sure he would unintentionally hurt her if he touched her.
"Screw it." Grayson said outloud. He placed his arms under her knees and her lower back. He quickly, but gently picked her up and hurried out the door. More than half the student body followed him out. The cafeteria was silent. No one uttered a word, their eyes transfixed on the door. Britney smirked, flicked her hair behind her shoulder, and strutted towards the exist. The sound of her heels clinking was all that was heard throughout the cafeteria. Everyone watched her walk out and slam the doors behind her. Step two complete.
Grayson Jones has never in his entire life been as terrified as he was the moment he saw Piper fall to the floor. Piper was his whole world and everybody knew that. He sat by himself in the waiting room. He decided to wait on calling their parents, knowing that they would just panic and try to take the first flight out of California. He hoped that whatever Piper has wasn't anything serious. Minutes, turned into hours and Grayson was literally about to go out of his freaking mind.
"The family members of Piper Montgomery?" A doctor in blue scrubs called out, looking up from his clipboard. Grayson sprang to his feet. "I'm her boyfriend. Is Piper okay? What's wrong with her? Can I see her?" Grayson asked at once. The doctor grimaced. "I'm sorry, but only family is allowed to know her condition." Grayson scrowled. "Her parents are in California and I'm the only family she has here and I refuse to let you continue your job until you tell me how Piper's doing."
The doctor nodded and reluctantly said, "Piper is fine. She's just slightly sleep deprived." Grayson let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding. He smiled. Piper's okay. "When can I see her?" Grayson asked. "If you will please follow me I'll take you to her room. I just want to keep her here for a few hours of observation. Just to make sure she gets proper rest." The doctor said as he turned to walk down the hallway, Grayson right on his tail. Grayson listened intently to what the doctor was saying and nodded in agreement. He shook the doctor's hand. "Thank you doctor. For everything." As the doctor turned to leave Grayson wasted no time in entering the room. His throat clogged up as he saw Piper nestled on the small bed with covers drawn up to her chest. He walked slowly to her side, carefully examining her ashen features that created a stark contrast beneath her thick flowing mass of black hair. Even with a snow white, ghastly complexion, her beauty was still intact and Grayson couldn't help but think she looked like Snow White.
Taking a seat on a nearby chair, he drew closer to Piper, immediately reaching for her hand. He graced it with a gentle kiss, before smiling. She stirred and slowly her eyes opened. Only then did Grayson allow himself to breath properly. "Piper. You gave me quite a scare just now. I've been telling you for days now that you need to take a break. Finals don't start for another week." Grayson said lightly chuckling, relieved that she was okay. Piper stared at him blankly. Her eyes traveled from their clasped hands to his face, confusion clear as day on her face. Grayson's heart lurched. "Piper? Is everything okay?" Grayson asked warily, his heart beating wildly inside his chest. She blinked and slowly she pulled her hand from his.
Grayson Jones has had his fair share of pain, but absolutely nothing could have prepared him for the shot of pain that hit his heart at Piper's next words. "I'm sorry. Do I know you?"
The next few hours passed by in blur. "Selective amnesia." "Temporary amnesia." "Maybe the boy's in love in with her and she has no clue he exists." were few of the things said by the doctors, but Grayson didn't care. His whole world was falling apart and he's powerless to stop it. Piper passed all the test. She was fine, physically, emotionally, and mentally. Grayson on the other hand was devastated. Even their parents had no recollection of knowing each other. It was like Grayson and everything that had to do with him had been completely erased from Piper's life.
A week passed and the strange boy with the striking green eyes still hasn't given up. Piper has already told him countless of times that she doesn't know him and that her boyfriend was Cole Dawson. Piper's heart ached for the boy as he desperately tried to convince her that he was telling the truth. Her heart lurched each and every time she saw him. There was just something about him that seemed so familiar, and so safe. He felt like home.
"Piper? Sweetheart, are you even listening to me?" Cole Dawson asked his girlfriend, a frown on his face. Piper blinked and lightly shook her head. "I'm fine. It's just, I feel as if something's missing." Cole chuckled nervously. "Pipes, you're talking crazy now. Are you sure you're okay? I mean it's only been a few days since your accident." Piper shook her head. "No. I'm fine. What were you saying again?" Piper droned out the voice of her boyfriend, her heart and soul haunted by the strange boy who sounds so sure that they are meant to be.
She couldn't even look him in the eyes. The last time she did her heart stopped. His eyes were dull, lifeless, as if his reason for living was just gone. Piper had swallowed and with a lump in her throat told him that she wasn't the girl he was meant to be with. Tears started to stream lightly down his face. His face void of any emotion. Piper gave him a watery, apologetic smile before leaving him behind. His devastated face imprinted onto her mind.
