Simon was sitting on the couch near the fireplace. In a blue knitted blanket, reading a Christmas book. Simon wanted to make his first Christmas with JJ special.
So he decided to do some research. He had marked up most of the book when the doorbell rang. "JJ most have forgotten his key again." Simon thought. He put the pen in the book and set it on the couch. He got up and stretched his arms before walking to the door. He looked through the hole in the door and saw JJ covered in snow that was starting to melt.
He quickly opened it so he could help his freezing boyfriend. "Why are you covered in snow JJ?" He asked hurrying him in. "I had to go to the store." JJ explained as he started shaking. "Well be more careful. Now hurry up and get changed before you catch a cold." Simon explained.
JJ nodded going into the back where his and Simon room was. He changed into a t-shirt and sweatpants. He came back a few minutes later. "There." JJ said when he reached the couch. He sneezed. "See you took to long." Simon said. "Whatever." JJ replied annoyed about the whole thing. Simon sighed. "Just get in here." Simon ordered opening the blanket for him to sit next to him.
JJ looked at him before sitting down. Simon put the blanket on him and they snuggled together. Simon went back to marking up his book. JJ noticed and looked at it. "What are you doing?" JJ asked. "I'm just marking stuff about Christmas." Simon explained. "Why?" JJ asked. "I want to make our first Christmas special so I'm doing research." Simon explained.
JJ sighed.
"You know as long as you're there it will be special, it wouldn't matter if the whole world was ending, it would still be special if I was with you."
Simon smiled, burying his head in JJ's chest, trying to hide his obvious blush. Simon stared up at the other boy, he knew that he was tired, he could tell by his sluggish walk and how irresponsive and slow he was.
He had a plan all he had to do was wait until JJ had fallen asleep.
JJ was running his fingers through Simon's thin hair, sighing in content.
Simon was currently getting himself comfy, burying himself even further into Jide's chest. He purred, loving how easy and comforting there embraces were, he stared into JJ's chocolate eyes, then studying every inch on his face, Simon tangled their legs together trying to get him fall asleep faster.
After the longest 30 minutes of Simon's life, JJ's breathing got heavier and his eyes began to close.
Simon did everything he could to ensure the boy stayed asleep for at least 1 hour, he needed to get everything prepared.
After that hour, Simon squeezed out of JJ's grasp, hearing the boy groan as he realised his spooning buddy had gone. Simon grabbed his coat and his keys on the way and ran out of the door as soon as he could.
JJ's eyes fluttered open, all he could think about was how tired he was currently feeling, he heard the door slam, he assumed it was Simon coming back from wherever he had gone. He stretched and yawned, wanting his source of warmth and comfort back, he could hear Simon, stepping across the wooden flooring, hanging up his coat, then moving towards the living room, where JJ currently was.
He shuffled to the edge of the sofa, pulling down the sleeves of his jumper, so his hands couldn't even be seen, he sat up, giving the perfect view to confront Simon.
Simon turned round, not stopping humming the tune that had been stuck in his head for the last twenty minutes. He pulled off his hat revealing his messy bed of hair, sticking up this way and that. He placed his hat on top of the hood of his hung up coat. He sighed, placing down a Santa themed snow globe, that he had received from a fan just minutes ago. He slid off his gloves, allowing his hands to burn with the change of temperature.
"Would you mind telling me where you sneaked off to?"
Simon simply walked over to the other boy, pulling up his left sleeve, showing the younger boy the freshly inked tattoo, of the letter 'J' that sat on his wrist.
JJ's face lit up, he couldn't believe that someone would do something so thoughtful or caring for him, he never thought someone would express love for him like Simon does, he never thought he could meet anyone that could rock his world like Simon could.
This was how JJ knew that this Christmas was going to be a good one.
