Prompt: Dan and Phil decide to go out and they make Simon and JJ babysit their daughter Lily

"Are you sure you can handle this? I mean we don't have to go. We can stay here with you guys." Dan said talking to Simon who was trying his best to make him and Phil leave. "Yes I'm sure. I have JJ with me." Simon replied. "That's what I'm worried about." Dan said. JJ rolled his eyes in response. "Were going to be late Dan." Phil said for the tenth time.
Dan sighed and then looked at Lily who was watching Mickey Mouse for the 100 time. She was too busy watching the show that she hadn't notice Dan and Phil leaving. "Now go on and have some fun. You deserve it." Simon explained smiling. Dan looked at him and sighed. "Okay fine. I'm leaving. Happy?" Dan said.
JJ nodded.
"Thanks again Simon." Phil said giving him a hug. "Anytime." Simon replied. Dan gave him a hug too and then called for Lily who didn't want to miss her show. "Bye Papa." Lily said. Dan picked her up and kissed her cheek. "I want you to be a good girl for uncle Simon and JJ. Okay?" Dan told her. She nodded. "Lily will be good." She replied. "Kiss Dad and then you can go back to your show." Dan explained. Lily kissed Phil on the cheek and hurried out Dan's arms.
"We'll be back around 9. You have my number so call if anything happens. Kissing and all that after you finish dinner." Dan said. Which made Simon ears burn up in embarrassment.
"We get it. Can you go now." JJ replied. "Okay fine." Dan said. They went into the hallway and waved one more time before locking the door.
Simon and JJ waited at the door a couple minutes to make sure Dan was really gone. When they saw no sign of Dan bursting into the room. They sat on the couch while Lily was on the floor. "What do we do when her show over?" JJ whispered to Simon.
"Dan gave me a detailed list before he left." Simon whispered back. "Can I see it?" JJ asked. Simon nodded and took the paper out his pocket. The list wasn't just a couple of bullet points it was practically a essay, he couldn't help, but chuckle at how obviously worried Dan was about leaving the care of his child in Simon's hands.
He read the first bullet point out loud.
"One of you complete a puzzle with Lily, that will keep her occupied while the other should cook and make tea and don't let that be JJ."
"W-what why can't I cook?"
"Do you remember the spaghetti incident?" Simon said sassily.
JJ rolled his eyes at the memory.
Simon chuckled as he thought of the spaghetti flung around the kitchen, on the walls and the windows and piping hot pasta sauce all over JJ's chest. Making him screech and squeak like a little girl as he ran around the house screaming Simon's name.
JJ moved towards the shelves, trying to pick between a Peppa Pig or Thomas the Tank Engine puzzle. He then settled for Peppa pig, as it would take longer for Lily to complete.
He set down the puzzle in front of Lily, separating the sides and the corners. Mentally preparing himself for when the five-year old would get frustrated and throw a tantrum.
Truth is, JJ had always wanted a child with Simon, he just didn't know how to tell him.
Simon watched the two for a minute, how Lily was so infatuated with her current tv show and how JJ looked so perfect while concentrating on separating the puzzle pieces. He smiled at his off and in again lover, then moved to the kitchen, ready to decide what to make.
Simon flicked through the Delia Smith cookbook Dan had left out. Many recipes caught his eye, but none suitable for a 5 year old. He finally reached the end of the book, Simon sighed, he had no idea what to make for Lily. He saw a post-it note stuck to the back of the book that read,
'Lily's favourite burgers'
Simon smiled, he should have guessed that Dan would keep it organized.
He pulled out a plastic bowl, placing the meat and ready-shredded onion, that Dan had prepared. He rubbed the bread between his hands, causing a mountain of breadcrumbs to form on top of the meat next he put in the tomato puree, thyme and the egg, (to stick it all together)
He kneaded the mixture, his eyes watering from contact with the onions. Firm arms were placed around Simon's waist, a head being placed on his shoulder. He smiled at JJ, as JJ began to tickle and squeeze his sides, Making Simon try to squirm and wiggle out of JJ's grasp.
He then picked up the tomato sauce, that was on the counter and squirted some directly onto JJ's nose, making JJ move away from Simon, trying to find some sort of cloth, still smiling Simon removed his hands from the meat-mixture filled bowl.
"JJ, PUZZLE." Lily whined, wanting her play buddy back.
"Okay, okay." JJ replied, while walking towards the living room, then flashing Simon a smile.

JJ poured a jug of warm water over Lily's head while she protested saying that she was 'perfectly clean' just to avoid having a bath.
JJ had been struggling with bathing Lily, she wouldn't keep still, it was nearly impossible to wash her hair.
Simon walked in the room holding a rubber duck. Lily lifted up her arms, making grabbing motions, indicating that she wanted the rubber duck.
"How are you so good with kids? It's incredible."
"I don't know, I must have a magic touch."
JJ picked Lily out the bath, wrapping a towel around her little body, then getting another around her hair, drying it with Lily giggling as he did.
"Is there a chance you would want kids of your own?"
Simon nodded, moving towards JJ, picking up Lily, then squashing both of them in a hug.
"I love you." Simon mouthed to JJ.
Before JJ could respond, Lily slapped Simon on the cheek and said,
"Ew, mushy."
JJ and Simon burst into roars of laughter, it was safe to say they had a wonderful time babysitting Lily.
