Chapter 3

As I sit there and stare he starts smirking. "Well are you just going to sit there and stare at me like a goof or come give me a hug. "

I walk over to him and give him a hug.
"Elliot what are you doing here? I thought you..."
"Hey I'll tell you after school. What class do you have?"
I have Mr..Johnson for English"
"I do to come on let's go before we are late."
As we get to the class I find a seat in the back and sit down.Elliot picks the seat right beside me. I can tell people are talking about us. They keep giving us weird glances and whispering. I turn toward Elliot so maybe I wouldn't be so bothered by all the people.
"So why are you here?" I ask Elliot going for an answer.
"I was thinking we could talk about that outside of school. Is it ok if we go for coffee this afternoon?"
"Yeah it's fine"
"Good meet me after school in the parking lot we'll take my car."
"Ok I'll have to tell Ashlyn so she knows I'm not riding with her."
After the bell rings Mr.Johnson starts talking.
"Ok kids for today I didn't have anything planned. So you may talk but talk quietly and tomorrow be prepared to learn."
Once he said that everyone started talking. Elliot and I talked. Then after about 15 minutes Landon walks in with Ryder and his eyes fix on me. When he walks over he comes up behind me and puts his hands over my eyes.
"Guess who?" He says in a squeaky voice.
"Umm let me see is it Justin Bieber?
"What no. It's someone who wants to take you out tomorrow afternoon."
"Oh I know it's probably that creep Landon."
"Hey that's offensive." He says as he takes his hands off my eyes. I turn around and laugh as I see him pouting.
"Umm Landon who's this?"
"Yeah Ara same for you,Who are these two?
Oh Elliot I forgot he was there.
"Elliot this is Landon and Ryder."
Landon waves but Ryder just sits there and stares at me. While he does this he makes me squirm in my seat. As I do he smirks and nods at Elliot.Then looks off into space.
"So Ara what about my offer to take you out tomorrow?"
"Well I don't know I'm quite busy tomorrow." I say teasing at him.
"Doing what? Oh I know you probably just watch Netflix all day."
"No I read to. But yes I'll go with you tomorrow."
"Great I'll pick you up at 2."
"Uh sorry to interrupt your little moment but before she goes anywhere with anyone I need to know them first." Elliot says.
"Why do you need to know your not her boyfriend?"
"No I'm not but I'm her very overprotective best friend."
As those two talk I sit there and keep my head down. I look up after a while to find Ryder staring at me again. We lock eyes and he doesn't stop staring I can fell my cheeks turning red and I start to squirm In my seat. He starts smirking and looks away. The bell rings and I get all my stuff together and head out the door.
"Ara wait up."
I turn around to see Elliot running up to me.

"Are we still on for coffee this after noon?
"Yes Elliot we are."
"Ok see you later."
I walk to my next class which is science with Ms.Dobroski.I go find a seat in the middle of the room and sit down. As everyone else files in Ms.Dobroski gets up.
"Ok class I'm going to put you in a seating chart and these will be your partners for our first project. "
As she calls out names. I wait for mine to be called and of course I have to be last and guess who I have for a partner? That's right Ryder's my partner. The bad boy who doesn't do homework. So that means I'll probably be stuck doing all the work while he's out with girls doing who knows what.

Ms.Dobroski gave us each an assignment and told us today to get acquainted with our partner. While everyone was talking me and Ryder just sat in silence. Then finally he said
"You know that Elliot guy your with?"
"We aren't together and what about him.?"
"When Landon put his hands over your eyes he sat there and gave Landon a death glare. Oh and when you weren't looking he would look at Landon with the maddest face on."
"He's just overprotective."
"I'm not so sure about that cupcake."
Did he just.. oh I think he did.
"Did you just call me cupcake?"
"Yeah I did. Does it make you uncomfortable?"
As he said uncomfortable he leaned in close to my ear and whispered it. When he did I squirmed in my seat. He leaned back and laughed.
"Oh this project should be fun. Do you want to work on it at my house Saturday?"
I was stunned when he said that.
"Uh yeah sure."
"Ok here's my number." As he wrote it down the bell rang and before he left he said "see ya later cupcake."
After I stopped by my locker I walked out the doors and looked for Elliot. I didn't see him but as I was waiting for him Landon came bye and told me we would have to move our hangout to Sunday because he had football practice Saturday. I told him it was ok because I had to work on a project Saturday anyway. But I didn't tell him with who. I don't know why I didn't I don't think he would have cared. After about ten minutes and still no sign of Elliot I decide to check my phone of course there was a text from him.
Hey sry I won't be able to take you out today I have to fill out some papers for school~ Elliot
I texted back and said ok. This was just great I was stuck walking home as soon as I was about to go someone came up and just had to say something.
