"Aurora, do you know what you need?" Lydia asked.
"What?" I say looking over at her, giving her all my attention.
"A nice night out with Nathan, you guys haven't gone out in a while." She said while the school bus turned into the school. I stood up shrugging.
"We've been busy." Was all I said before my friend looked at me with her right eyebrow raised in disbelief.
"You guys are not busy! Come on just for an hour, get out and..." Her eyebrows went up and down and I hit her arm laughing.
"What, it's the truth!" I shook my head at my best friend. We both got off the bus and there waiting for me was Nathan, my wonderful boyfriend. We embraced and I kissed him softly before pulling away and smiling up at him.
"Morning beautiful." He said hanging an arm around my shoulders. I leaned into him, wrapping my arm around his waist.
"Morning," We walked into the school and the chaos of high school greeted us. The first class I had with Nathan, it wasn't the worst class I had. In fact, it was one of the ones I was good at, though Nathan struggled with it. We said goodbye to the others, before entering the Foods classroom.
Mrs. During greeted us happily, Nathan and me quickly sat down in our spot. Mrs. During started the class and I quickly was lost in my thoughts. The class went by quickly, I being distracted by my thoughts.
"Are you okay?" Nathan asked I looked up at him to see that everyone was packing up their bags. I nodded quickly but Nathan gave me a look and I sighed.
"Do you have any work tonight?" I ask, looking down at my feet. Nathan was the soon to be Beta and worked many nights with Zeus the soon to be Alpha and Zeus' father, the current Alpha. I knew that there was a possibility that Nathan wouldn't be able to go out tonight but I had been thinking about what Lydia had said that morning and had agreed with what she said.
Nathan pulled my head up and pecked my lips softly. "I didn't have anything planned, why?"
"Well we haven't gone out in a while, and I was thinking we could go out to dinner." I trailed off, not knowing what to say. Nathan smiled and looked thoughtful.
"I think that is a wonderful idea." I smiled and kissed him as we entered our next class the last one I had with Nathan. Nathan sat in a seat in front of Zeus, who at the moment was preoccupied with a blonde, in a heated lip lock. I rolled my eyes at this action and sat down ignoring Zeus. When he met his mate he was going to be in for a big shock. Hopefully, she would tame him.
The class went by quickly and pretty soon school was over. Nathan and I parted ways, planning to pick me up at seven. The bus ride back to the packhouse was short and I quickly grabbed a snack from the kitchen. Then headed up to my room and started tackling a big project we had coming up.
I had never met my parents, supposedly I had been left on the doorstep of a pack members house. No one knows who my parents were or where they are now. Nathan's father and mother were the ones to raise me, which was how I got to know Nathan so good. I never really thought about my parents, I always assumed they thought they couldn't take care of me and wanted to give me a better chance at life. I was grateful for that, without them I would have never met Nathan or his parents.
Pretty soon the time flew by and I was getting ready for our date. I got dressed in a cute blue 50's style dress, that ended just above my knees. Someone knocked on my door, and I opened it and greeted Nathan with a kiss.
"Wow, you look beautiful." He complimented and I took the chance to look at his outfit. A white shirt with a leather jacket. He looked hot.
"You don't look too bad yourself, handsome," I smirked leaning in to give him a good kiss.
