She woke up hearing the baby cry again, feeling drained and empty.
Nothing new, she thought to herself. Her doctor said it will stop, the baby crying will stop because there is no baby anymore, because she has lost him.
Her husband was beside her sleeping, a pained expression taking over his beautiful face.
She noticed that he was still wearing his shoes, and she felt hollow.
He did not deserve this.
The one I loved with my whole heart, did not deserve this. She thought.
She carressed his cheek, tears falling silently from her eyes.
Tears which filled the whole room with grief and sadness.
It has become a habit now, everynight she would wake up, remember and then cry soundlessly when he was asleep.
The room has witnessed their happiness, love and care for each other and now it started witnessing their sadness and tears.
