Mars Attacks!: One-Shots and Rants

For Blue

"Elaine...."

The words fell out of the mans mouth as he watched his car lay in a pillar of smoke, the car his wife had been in. His mouth hung open as he stared at the flames licking high in the air, he felt like someone had hit his stomach with a brick. His whole life was shattered now, it lay in a pile at his feet.

He felt something ripping at his throat, pulling itself up from the deepest part of his gut, tears were spilling out of his eyes as he heard the faint sound sirens, but they didn't penetrate his ears as his head was clouded with pain, shock and anger.

Who did this?! He thought, but right after that he knew who, he knew who wanted him dead, who wanted him to suffer.

He tried to take a step forwards but he crumpled to the ground after the slightest movement. His head started to spin as well, but then suddenly he was yanked back into clear thoughts by a small voice calling out one thing.

"Mommy!!"

Ronald. He turned to see his five year old son, sitting on the steps of the office building he had left him on. He should have remembered him before, his son was now motherless and he had been thinking only of himself.

Still on his knees, he turned to his son and held open his arms.

The feet of the young boy stood and ran towards his father as fast as he could. Letting him pull him into a tight hug.

They were both crying, they feeling of what they had just lost was bigger than any they had ever felt before.

Elaine was dead, Ronnie, motherless and Edward Rockwell was now a widow and all because of an article he had written about a man who had been put in jail today.

Edward knew that the Shine family meant for that explosion for him and that meant they would be coming for him if they found out he was alive and so, Edward Raymond was born.

{A.N. - I'm not sure how I got into this story, but it's sorta just a thing I wrote for my wonderus sister that I'm sure is the only reason you all know me, her name is Blue, or well her name here is blue. :P :D So this is for you Blue, hope you enjoyed my little story that I wrote AGES ago. :) ♥}
