"How could you do that to me?" she scoffed and tossed aside the scarf that she had just pulled off when she came on the door. A hurt look on her face made him fell bad about it, but only for a second.

"What are you talking about, Molly?" he asked her,  putting on his best confused face. When he first started the whole mess of using Molly to get to Sherlock, it was easy to put on a facade and fake emotions, but the more time he spent around her the harder it was to keep lying.

She looked at him as if she never wanted to know him and with a sigh she turned to walk out of the room, but he grabbed her by the arm. "Please, just tell me what your talking about?" he asked as he looked down at her.

"Your gay," she said pointedly to him. Tearing her arm out of Jim's grip she turned walked into the other room. "How come you didn't tell me?" she looked back at him with the same hurt look that made him feel more ashamed then he ever had.

"A lot of people are," he said, wondering why she was reacting like this.

"But I never wanted to hear it from Sherlock Holmes," she tossed her coat on to the couch, "and is that why you came to me? I've had fan-girls beg me to let them come in for one day, but Jim, you sure took it to another level," she dropped, rather swiftly into the chair behind her, only to have her cat, Toby, jump into her lap and start purring.

Jim walked over and sat in the chair next to her, his hand reaching out and petting Toby out of habit. "I would have told you, but I thought you would judge me for it, much like you are now." sighing he leaned back in his chair, while he watched her out of the corner of her eye, she had never been upset like this before, what was her matter?

She moved her feet up onto the chair with her as she pet her loving cat. Eyes glued to a spot just above the curtains, he knew she was avoiding looking at him.

'What is she thinking about?' he thought to himself as she took a rather long sigh. "Do you want some tea and we can talk this over a bit more?" he asked her, hoping that she would say yes, but all he got was a shake of the head.

"You can get some, I'm going to change," she never liked staying her work clothes for long.

Jim nodded and walked into the kitchen, Toby followed behind him as he put the kettle on and sat down at the table, his arms crossed in front of him as the cat rubbed against his leg. "I'm not sure what to do about that women sometimes."

The cat jumped up to the chair next to him, meowing at him as he always did when he was hungry. "You don't listen, ever," he smirked at the feline next to him.

The sound of feet shuffling behind him told him that Molly was walking back into the room, she had her favourite sweater on, it was blue with a big question mark on it, he didn't understand why she liked it so much. "Feeling better?" he stood up, stuffing his hands deep in his pockets.

She turned and looked at him. "Um," she brushed a bit of hair behind her ear. "yeah, I'm good now."

"Glad to hear it," he said, extending his arms, welcoming her to a hug, which she took with a small smile on her face.

"Thanks Jim," she rested her head on his shoulder and let him hold her in his arms, she liked being held, it made her feel safe and Jim wasn't only the first one, he was the one here for her now, maybe he would always be.

~Three Days Later~

Molly stood in the doorway, chuckling as she watched Jim swirl his hand around as he moved some yarn around the floor, Toby close behind it, chasing it like a kitten. Molly had just come back from a hard day at work, to many bodies had come in and she was tired of being around them at the moment.

"I'd better stop before he attacks my hand," Jim smirked at Molly and then added. "Again," which made her made her chuckle again, every time she smiled or laughed she saw a look come over Jim's face, she had never been able to put a word to it, but she liked it.

She walked over to the couch he was sitting on and sat next to him. "How was work?" she asked him, he leaned back and shrugged.

"Boring, how about yours?" he rubbed her leg lightly.

She sighed. "Dead and overwhelming, so just normal." he chuckled now.

Kissing her forehead. "What time it is?" he asked her, brushing his finger along her hairline.

"Almost ten, why are you wondering?" she asked, curling up against him and hugging a pillow as she watched Toby still bat at the yarn, now laying flat on the ground.

He kissed her forehead again, standing up and smiling down at her. "Can I use your computer, love?" he asked her.

She nodded and watched as he sat down at the desk with the computer, after a little bit a smile came over his face, but not his normal smile, this was different. "I've got to go, Molly," he stood and walked towards her, she stood to meet him and gave him a grin.

He grinned back and grabbed her hand, pulling her into a kiss, she felt her heart freeze. "I'll see you later," he said, moving towards the door, stopping a few steps from it. "I-" he stopped himself, before he said something he might regret. "I-" he shook his head.

"I'll be back, Molly Hooper."
