The hunger games (Katniss and Peeta) the trip never ends

Chaper 2

Rye is not even a month old yet and his birthday is January 6th me and katniss love him with all our hearts and his birthday is almost here and I don't know what to get him I've been to the hob maybe 2 times maybe not even that I'm a Baker not a Hunter like Katniss her and gale go hunting every Sunday and I stay home watching after rye sometimes I get my best friend Olivia Smith to watch after him because me and my brothers sometimes have to work on Sundays if our business isn't going all that well that week. Well katniss woke up at 6:00 this morning and went hunting with gale so i guess that means i have the house to myself......so its been awhile since Katniss has been in the woods and I'm kinda worried about her so I call Olivia....the phone is ringing

"hello"
she answers in her sweet soft and gentle voice

"hey I was wondering if you have heard from gale or Katniss?" I reply in concern

"no I haven't actually I have been worried about them to" she replays back

I can hear the fear in her voice and I can tell that she's about to cry

"oh..ok...their ok I promise" I say trying to make her feel better

"you sure" she says I can tell she's crying poor thing she loves gale to death and she would walk to the end of this earth to find him

"yes I promise their just fine they probably got caught up in talking or something and lost track of time" I say trying to get her to stop crying

"ok..." She says and kinda drifts off her sentence

"ok ill talk to you later bye bye" I hang up not giving her a chance to say goodbye because I could hear her sobbing in the background I'm attempted to go over there and comfort her till gale comes back from hunting but I have to say here with rye.

Few hours later......

So Katniss is still not home and its 2:30 in the afternoon they must be killing all the animals I don't know its scaring me...so I call Olivia again

"hey" she says with a sobbing voice but I dont mention it because I dont want to upset her more

"hey have u heard anything from Katniss or gale im getting a little worried" I say in concern

"Peeta get your things together because the hospital called me and told me that Katniss got her foot stuck in a snare and they are doing surgery on her to get her foot attached back to her body and gale got attacked by wolfs trying to get her lose" she says bursting out in tears

I automatically hang up the phone and I get everything together and rush down to the hospital I run in the doors and talk to the lady at the front desk

"hey do u know which room Katniss mellark is in?" I ask in a hurry

"she's in the surgery room Mr. Mellark" she says in a nice calm voice

I dont say anything I go and sit in the waiting room and they call me name i run back there just to find Katniss laying in the hospital bed and tears start rolling down my face

"Katniss?" I ask

She looks up still dizzy oh no....
