The hunger games (Katniss and Peeta) the trip never ends

Chaper 3

Katniss just looks at me and I take the blanket up and just to see her foot in bloody bandages I cover my mouth and try to hold in the tears the nurse comes in and tells me I can only stay in here for 5 minutes

"Katniss?" I say once more she looks at me

"huh?" She says still a little knocked out on the drugs they gave her before the surgery

"your gonna be alright trust me" I say hoping I dont jinks anything

she kinda dozes off and the nurse comes in and tells me that I have to go back in the waiting room while they get Katniss out of recovery and into a regular room I sit there for at least 2 hours they called me back to go see her and I go back and she's asleep because some pain medicine they put her on I sit in the chair next to her bed and I grab her hand and doze off i toss and turn around in the very very VERY uncomfortable chair....

next morning....

So Katniss is laying awake and I get startled by the nurses out side

I shoot up "ahhhh!!!!" I scream.

Everyone kinda just stops and looks at me like im crazy and I startled Katniss to she looks at me

"Peeta! Are u ok" she asks concerned

"Yes im fine the nurse dropped something outside the door and it startled me" I say breathing really heavy

I look over to see in the room right across from us is my best friend Olivia she's sitting in the seat next to gale and balling her eyes out If Katniss was asleep i would go over there and comfort her but Katniss is awake and i can't leave her side

"Katniss?" I ask i know I must be getting annoying

"Yea.." She replays and kinda drifts off her sentence

She notices gale in the room across from us and the nurses have him flipped on his stomach with his shirt off so they can treat the wounds and stitch them up i feel sorry for both of them i wish I was there to help

"Gale..." She drifts off again

Im thinking this is medicine doing this making her only say one word and then drifts off her sentence

"He's...hurt" she says in a dreary way

"Yea...hes um hes hurt and so are u....katniss u just need to get some rest ill be right here when u wake up" I say trying to easy her up a bit

The nurse walks in

"Mr. Mellark" she says

I look up to only see uh oh....not her....anything but her...Dwelly Cartwright....a former bully back when I went to school she bullied my best friend Olivia and tried to get together with me when she was together with gale....she's a whore

"Ahhhh Hmmmm" she clears her throat and trys to get me to listen

"Mr. Mellark I know u dont like me but will u please listen to what I have to say this includes Katniss" she says in a very firm voice

"Ok? Im listening" I say with worry on my face

"Katniss has tore up all of her muscle in her foot, her nerves are damaged and where the snare clamped her foot it broke her bone she will be on crutches for 12 weeks or so im really sorry this tragedy has happened and I am here to do my job and help her back to her ml normal self so she can walk on her foot again" she says very stiff and firm like a professional

I mean I guess she is a professional but we'll see about that she has to prove to me that she will help Katniss in any way shape or form
