A hard choice

Hello World! Yes, I'm a bad person for having shite internet that I can't do anything about. Please don't kill me.

As we fought our way through the thick bush, we saw the scene as if it was a movie. Lucy was pinned down to the forest floor by a stumbler, struggling for breath. "Shit" Josh swore, looking away. Gabby just looked at Lucy, with no emotion in her eyes. While the stumbler was busy eating her insides, Gabby picked up Lucy's gun slowly, not look at her. She pointed it at the zambie's head, and pulled the trigger. The now dead stumbler fell limp onto Lucy's now dead corpse. With a blank expression on her face, she looked at us and shrugged. "I hated her anyways" My mouth fell open, gobsmacked. She then simply turned around and walked back to the camp. "Wow, what a bitch" Emily said after she was out of earshot. I shook my head, as if to erase just what happened. How could you feel nothing when someone died? Was this the world now? I started followed Emily and Josh back to the camp, but then I stopped and looked back at the dead girl. I slowly went over to where she was and crouched down next to her. I shut her open eyes with my hand. " Rest in peace" I muttered under my breath. I got up and headed back to our camp. Lucy was a total cow, but nobody deserves to die like that, and I wasn't ready to become some monster just yet either.

"Where to hell are those guys" Kim asked Meg. It had been about a hour since they left, and they were starting to get worried. "I'm not sure, but at least we have food, water and shelter, so it's not like they've ran off, why would they anyways?" Kim nodded at that, but was far from convinced. Suddenly, they could hear a rumbling from the bushes. Kim jumped down from the look out tower they made and hid behind a wooden children's house. Meg aimed the group's only shotgun and the noise, concentrating on the noise. "I'm home guys!" Gabby exclaimed from the shrub. Lowering the gun, Meg stared at her. Gabby never attracted attention to herself. Normally Lucy spoke for her...wait where was Lucy? Jumping down from the look out -which was basically a lifeguard chair on a tall sturdy table- she ran towards Gabby. "Where the hell is everyone else?" She shouted. "You know we don't leave others by themselves!" She look towards the hedge she came from and saw Emily, Josh and Nicole, but still no Lucy. "Where's Lucy?" She asked. Gabby glanced at her with mischievous eyes, then walked away, laughing. "Bitten the dust, dead, gone to heaven- well more like hell" she cackled. "Killed by a stumbler" Josh said quietly. "Ha! Good riddance!" Gabby shouted from the sofa she had slumped on. I looked at Gabby like she was some manic. Why did she suddenly hate her so much?

Later at night when Gabby had gone to sleep, Emily, Meg, Kim, Josh and I, all met in our living roomish area. Well, technically before the world went to hell, it was a furniture shop in a huge department store/mall place. Gabby was sleeping in a bed shop which meant we could sneak away to discuss what to do about her. "I don't trust the crazy bitch" Emily said. "What if she was to turn on us?" Kim nodded her head at Emily comments. "It's true" she replied. "With the world like this, we can't have her as a threat" Meg's, Josh's and my eyes widened in shock. "What can we do?" Meg asked. Emily looked at us all and simply said. "we kill her". Meg and I stared at her like she was crazy, we couldn't kill someone cause they were a risk could we?! "What other option do we have? She won't leave this place, she'd kill us first unless we kill her now" Kim added. Stuttering, Josh said "Why don't we vote? If most of us say don't kill her, we keep her around for a bit, then we see if she is really dangerous?" We all nodded our heads in agreement. "Kill her I say" Emily said. " I agree with Em, shes dangerous" Kim said quietly. The room went quiet for Meg's response. Slowly, Meg looked up at Emily and Kim. "I can't do that to a human guys. It's just not right." Josh looked down at the floor, as if he ignored the question, the whole situation would go away. He eventually responded. "I don't wanna be the cause of someone's death. I say we don't kill her." I looked up at everyone then, to see them all looking at me, awaiting my vote. That's when I realised I would be the person who would be her death. The deciding vote. I wasn't sure what I should do. We could kill her, and never have an issue with her again. Or I could act like a human being and keep her alive. I hadn't killed yet, so if I chose to end her life with a few little words I would become an surviver. Making difficult choices for the group so we could live. But then why did I so badly not want to be a part of this world if that was what we had to do now? But I had a choice. And that choice I made is something that will stay with me until the moment I die.

So my dear lovely readers who do see this, you now get to choose if Gabby should be killed or left to live! Now I can't write a next chapter until at least one person comments say if she should live or not. I need to know otherwise no more chapters! Also, comment If you like this thing that I'm doing, I thought it would be awesome if you guys were more involved in the story too. If you like it, I'll try and do this every chapter or so :-D see you next time! --Nicole x
